David Wilson (68)
Japan (15-1): Yoshitaka Yazaki, Kippei Ishida, Dylan Riley, Shogo Nakano, Tomoki Osada, Seungsin Lee, Shinobu Fujiwara, Michael Leitch, Kanji Shimokawa, Ben Gunter, Warner Dearns, Jack Cornelsen, Shuhei Takeuchi, Hayate Era, Kenta Kobayashi

Replacements: Kenji Sato, Ryosuke Iwaihara, Keijiro Tamefusa, Tyler Paul, Tiennan Costley, Kenta Fukuda, Charlie Lawrence, Sam Greene.

Can't say I recognise many of the Japanese players...

They went down to the wire vs a Fiji team that really should have beaten us

Think we may be thinking too much of ourselves
Hold up there big dawg.

I want/expect them to put them away if you are a legitimate tier one competitor but I can't help but be nervous. I had high hopes 4-5 weeks ago but feel their spluttering a bit now.

Wright going down was a gut punch.

Without knowing much about them it looks like a fairly inexperienced back 3, only Osada has decent time at the top levels and plenty of that is at centre.

Different ways but all 3 have the ability to turn games on their own and do things the Japanese would largely find unplayable. Fraiser would be particularly useful if we're looking at holding onto a slim lead with 20 to go.

Ideally though it would be McDermott, it's a real pity he's injured because the way he has played this year he'd basically be a get out of jail free card on the bench.
i understood the term as one that could make (multiple) half breaks / breaks on the field

No, game breaker does not equal line breaker (though McReight's support play and play-making do help quite a bit in this space). "Game breaker" is about breaking the game open or transforming the flow of the contest through big plays that includes line breaks but also things like turnovers, dominant and try saving cover tackles, assists, scrum/line-out dominance, etc.

One thing that hasn’t been brought into the equation is that a lot of these blokes are still pretty angry with Eddie. And for different reasons….
I think they're trying not to harp on that too much, at least that's the impression I get from the reporting. I imagine a fair few of them are carrying it and ready to get back at him, but they're probably keen not to over-egg it.

Yes, totally agree with that approach as well. But it’s there…..

Would that be a positive or negative influence KOB?. The indiscipline being shown by the Wallabies lately might suggest a few YCs if the anger isn't controlled.

If you get angry at another player maybe that will lead to indiscipline, but if you are angry at the coach its more likely to manifest as a burning desire to put 100 on his team.
Maybe. It's not just any coach, it's EJ (Eddie Jones). He will have plans to rile up vulnerable and emotional players (if there are any). We might end up with a Darcy Swain situation
