Its just the gutless, lose from any position attitude i cant take. They fucking suck in a way no sporting team ive ever supported does.It sounds ridiculous but after the game I genuinely thought: “why do I even bother?”
I’m 30 and one by one all of the friends that I used to watch rugby with have moved on over the years, as they can’t handle the officiating and the disappointment.
Then I flick over to Reddit and I see every other nation belittling us in a way that no one else in world rugby ever really cops it, and it is really apparent to me that no one sport that I watch ever makes me feel this way.
I know I’m being a sook but eventually you have to ask why you continue to tune in.
Someone post this over at Reddit and shut the fucking pomms up.
Let me introduce you to someone, you’ll get along. Its just the gutless, lose from any position attitude i cant take. They fucking suck in a way no sporting team ive ever supported does.
Typical Derpus comment. Gutless keyboard loser.Honestly who the fuck loses from 23-5 up in the biggest game and series of their lives. Absolutely gutless fucking wonders the lot of them.
A couple of points on this:Dru, the right 23 would have helped. Maybe now it will be recognisded that Bell is not a strong scrummager, Robertson is out of his depth, and both McReight and Wilson are very pedestrian. Not like Fraser - I think he must be carrying an injury, but Harry has never been any better than he showed tonight. It was an error of large proportions by Schmidt to take both Slipper and Ala'alatoa off at half time because that was the plan.
In the backs, it should now be clear to all that JAS is not yet, and maybe never will be, a test standard player. His defence is atrocious.
The 6-2 bench was a mistake, not just in retrospect. Most posters here before the game were very nervous about an early injury to one of the backs, and so it came to be. Tate did an excellent job in the circumstances but would have been a whole lot more impactful at halfback where he should have been.
Unlike others, I am not putting the responsibility for the loss on the early replacement of Valetini and Skelton. Those moves certainly had some effect, but Big Will had run his race and Gleeson did an all right job subbing for Rob. The error was in taking Rob off instead of the ineffectual Wilson.
This loss was down to the Coaches and their pre-ordained replacement plan.
Your posts are generally quite good but this is poor. You and TomThumb should go and start a negativity thread and hopefully drag in a few of these other trolls with you.Its just the gutless, lose from any position attitude i cant take. Who could have predicted Frost making a critical defensive error…Much as it sucks, we need to give the Lions a bit of credit here.
Lineout 51m out, 13 phases, 26 passes and 2 mins later they score. It's one of the all-timers.
Frost with the critical miss on Aki (it was a tired attempt, and he knew instantly that it was a big problem)
He's the only one of the 1-7 still out there at 80mins, and made the most carries and near most tackles in the team all night, at that point he's marking the oppo 12 4 wide in the centres, so he's probably odds on favourite to be the guy who misses one.Who could have predicted Frost making a critical defensive error…
Imagine what the critics would be saying if it was Noah that missed those kicks!! Lynagh went ok but he really needs to offer more in attack. He never looked like threatening the line. Too much shovelling standing still which never worried the defensive line.A bad take on tizzano.
but we did get found out second half. That second try before halftime was a bit of a killer.
Lynagh missed kicks - so did Finn. Wouldn’t put this on lynagh as has been written elsewhere
I think we needed more grunt second half which was maybe LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) and Hooper vs who came on.
suallii gets that pass off in the second and we score. Few little moments
Yeah you’re right, we should be thankful for the pool stage exit at the World cup, not sniffing the Bledisole for 25 years and being one game away from being the only host nation in modern history to lose every tour game to the LionsYour posts are generally quite good but this is poor. Time?JAS needs time. Like many of the young players.
We question Lynagh but also acknowledge his age when it comes to what he is and might become yet he’s a year older than JAS. He’s shown plenty in attack to see there’s a hell of a player in there.
Could watch back almost every player last night and see basic errors. Slipper had a good showing but also got stood up in defence a couple times with zero lateral movement left in him.
