All Brumbies tight 5. Then a 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11 combination of Waratahs.I'm not quite sure how you've come to that conclusion.
12 out of the starting 15 play across two clubs.

Out of interest, who else would you have picked from the Reds to be in the squad? Wilson is my pick but interested in what you think. All Brumbies tight 5. Then a 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11 combination of Waratahs.

I suspect it is only Tate's passing that holds him back. He is the future and could well be the starting 9 at the RWC.

Asiata instead of Lonergan. Outside of that, the only Reds players left that are fit would be Daungunu and Wilson. I've got no problem with Wilson getting a rest and the likes of Samu/Gleeson/Hanigan be given a shot.Out of interest, who else would you have picked from the Reds to be in the squad? The only three possible are Tate - who is on the bench, Campbell - who is on the bench and Wilson who is in QueenslandOut of interest, who else would you have picked from the Reds to be in the squad? Wilson is my pick but interested in what you think.
I don't have problems with that. Despite that I'm a Tahs supporter, Lolo has had many opportunities at test level and he didn't earn the 10 spot, so why not to try with new blood?Donaldson over Lolesio!
This tour probably showed that for all the development Hanigan has made, he's still a jack of all trades, master of none. Can plug a hole, but there's a number of 'specialists' that should be picked before him.
I'm a Tahs supporter and McDermott is my favourite scrum half in Aussie Rugby ATM. At 10 I think Lolo didn't do enough to secure his spot, I mean, even Foley is in the running for the spot soDonaldson over Lolesio and Gordon over McDermott are curious calls
I suspect we may not see a huge difference between Donaldson and Lolesio in this match. Donaldson getting his feet and Lolesio trying to exert himself on the game.I don't have problems with that. If you don't have a proper 10 at test level, pick someone new. We've seen enough of Lolo at this level, he isn't the new Michael LynaghI suspect we may not see a huge difference between Donaldson and Lolesio in this match. Donaldson getting his feet and Lolesio trying to exert himself on the game.
I agree Marce, just don't expect too much in his first start. If he goes OK that will suit me, anything else is unexpected. If you don't have a proper 10 at test level, pick someone new. We've seen enough of Lolo at this level, he isn't the new Michael Lynagh
Yes, any stab at the WC squad is almost certainly doomed to fail. A very strange year indeed.Whilst I agree, it's honestly so much up in the air now in terms of who the future is across the entire team.
I reckon 90% of posters here, even if they didn't really like him, thought Noah would kick-on more and end up being a great flyhalf this year, next year etc at test level. Now the smart money has him missing the RWC23 squad.
Same way a lot of people thought Wilson getting sent home last year would mean he would improve on things and end up back in the squad, now here we are with an injury crisis and he's not in the 23 (I understand flying him over now would be a bit dumb etc but you get the point).
This year's tests has really muddied the water for me in terms of the pecking order.
Agreed - I personally thought Uru played better in the Aus A series + his form at the QPR Final was immense, but his injury ruled him out being selected.sometimes you need units that can plug a hole
I wouldn't have been against Uru being selected for this tour, I rate the guy,Agreed - I personally thought Uru played better in the Aus A series + his form at the QPR Final was immense, but his injury ruled him out being selected.
Hopefully Uru can put on a bit more size over this off-season as I don't think Australia has seen a better ball runner at 6 since that 1-3 year period of Elsom at his best.
The Brumbies tight 5 I'll give you, but the rest is pretty questionable. The back row has never played together - Gleeson's very limited minutes for the tahs hardly build cohesion, the backline is the same with 10-12-13 never having played together, along with the 12 and 15 playing in positions they have pretty limited experience in. Cohesion is much more than just players coming from the same clubs. All Brumbies tight 5. Then a 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11 combination of Waratahs.

I think Gleeson would have got 10 minutes all tour if it wasn't for injuries, he is clearly a project player but did boss the Aus A gamesThe Brumbies tight 5 I'll give you, but the rest is pretty questionable. huh? Yeah he does - Harrison was toe to toe with him before he got injured but it's been exclusively Donaldson since thenBut Donaldson doesnt play 10 for the Tahs
