Yet everyone has been praising himYou rate him better than McReight and Tizzano. Also think Rory Scott is ahead of him in the queue. Kellaway has been poor all year so tonight was not unexpected
It's already our most competitive position though. Not sure why you'd then go and drop someone form another position to rebalance the squad just to make it a bit more competitive outside the 23. Who are you dropping out of the squad for him? You'd have to consider bringing him into the squad (35) and then see how the other boys are tracking/fair. Hopefully competition pushes standards, so what's not to love.
Oh definitely not at this stage. If he's lucky he'll get the 10 jersey against one of the invitational sides, but it looks like he's missed his chance to get a test jersey. Maybe a chance off the bench given he covers fullback.I don't see M. Smith playing much of a part in the Wallabies games.
Fair. Guess it depends how many they decide to carry. The numbers are all arbitrary anyway. It's already our most competitive position though. I saw them this year play against lesser opposition and not be able to do what Gamble did tonight. No Super Rugby team has the quality and quantity of players the Lions have. If you want to build a club with those players, you simply can't afford it. The best Irish backrow leaves the fiels and the best English backrow replaces him. It's madness.Gamble easily MOM tonight but you can’t make that call when McReight and Tizz haven’t played under the game conditions against that side.
Yep. Farell coming in doesn't help either, even if the chat is that he's more a centers cover.Oh definitely not at this stage. The other side of the coin is that he has already been selected for the First Nations/Pasifika side, so he does have an excellent opportunity to press his case further and keep that pressure up. But the others will get a right of reply between now and then too. That includes Reimer too, who before this game would've been well ahead of Gamble in the pecking order and should get his chance on Wednesday to wreck havoc.Fair. Pretty much sums up AU Rugby, an abundance of quality 7's![]()
