Nah the other way round: guys who batted down the order and then opened.
Yep, apparently the pitches in first class there are absolute minefields but no two ways about it, this is a B team. Can hear the lethargy in the commentators. Lara is trying to hype up bits and pieces but at 3/54 it feels gone.
These guys are coming through averaging below 30 in WI 1st Class Cricket.
I hope they can get to 250 or at least 200 to make our Batters do some work.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Potentially all out before tea on Day 1 - this is Australia's day so far.Other than the openers, keeper & Roach I don't recognise any of their names.
Becoming a bad habit.
Good bit of fight though. Might mean the Test lasts until the weekend.
Smith and Labuschagne have been disappointing lately.

That's not good enough, seriously. It's no longer like it was in the 90's where a bowler, say Pigeon McGrath, can barely hold a bat properly. Most bowlers these days can bat relatively decently - not brilliantly, but know what to do. You can no longer afford to not bowl at them like you're bowling at an opener.Did you see the graphic of where the ball was passing the stumps during that last partnership? Only one delivery would have hit the stumps. Our fast bowlers seem to revert to rank amateurism bowling short and bouncers at tail end batsmen. Need to get their collective heads together and wtfu.
They can hit okay because they have to to a degree to be selected in white ball teams. Tail bats often in T20s. For that reason I think the pace bowlers are trying to deliver balls that they don’t see often in T20s which is fast bouncers. I think they’re a bit greedy in that respect because the tail don’t see sustained wicket taking plans ein white ball which give up a possible four or six several times an over. That's not good enough, seriously. I'm concerned about next summer - England and India are outBut were bowling at them in a manner that we can only get them out caught. It is costing us a lot of runs to get there.
Days seem to be gone of setting them up for LBW or going for the yorker. Yeah, they're better batters but mostly better hitters. They won't keep out multiple overs of accurate bowling.
Our Batting is so fragile. They need to get it sorted before they tour or face a side who will put 350 on us in a 1st Innings.
