Van has said he will play on another year if they want him, i think the reality is he realises he is behind AWH, Simmons and Horwill

Just to dig up Andy Friend for a moment and to have my own Grumbles moment...

I heard from a source last night that Rocky was the main instigator in Friend being axed...

Apparently Rocky was none too happy about being dressed down by Friend for his attitude, and rallied the other senior players behind him...

If your source is correct then I take back my past opinions of Andy Friend.
I assumed he failed to address the rockstars in his team while he was coach but now believe fagan & board did not give friend the support & control which I think they'll give Jake White.

Bring in a Wayne bennet style coach, give him FULL control & CEO back the f*#k off.

I finally got around to watching the Brums V Sharks game today. Just a thought, has McCabe ever played in closer to the action?

He isn't big. but he continually makes meters through traffic. I would like to see McCabe at 13. Pity AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) isn't a 12, because those two together would break alot of lines.

It looked like AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has some mojo back too, he made some telling tackles.

I feel that either McCabe or AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) would be the best fit for 13... But like other backline selections that would make sense it just hasn't happened...

I've seen McCabe play well everywhere in the backline but scrummie - but obviously not at the Super level, nor some at Grade level. Could be worth a run at 13 during a game if it is well won or well lost, just to see.

If it couldn't get any worse for the Brumbies, they have serious injury issues with Salesi Ma'afu out with a broken arm, Huia Edmonds needs surgery on a broken foot and is out for 6 months and finally, Ita Vaea will be out for a week.

I better go and look for my boots and mouthguard....

For all the crap that has been going on with the Brumbies White will need to clean house asap. The old players that are on coaching staff are too close to the current players and need to be boned including Larkham. All the bullshit about the Brumbies been different we hear from Kaffer is rubbish, it has been allowed to flourish by the management over the last few years and they too should be brought to account.

Ed Stubbs is back playing again, had a great game for Easts on the weekend. Chances of him getting a gig, especially with T.Smith so poor in defence against the Lions?

All teams ebb and flow and it is important to OZ Rubgy that all our franchises are strong - Hopefully White can turn the Ponies around and agree with most that the cleanout should continue

Any idea of who is coming into the squad to cover for the current bout of injuries?

Levi > Edmonds?
Ita > Hooper > bench?

They have to fix the breakdown problem, I don't beleive it is all the halfbacks fault, the ball is so slow there is almost no chance of breaking the line, no one hits it with any pace because the are standing still waiting for the ball. Ita should have been replaced after 20 mins, he was limping between plays and provided very little breakdown work, it wasn't so obvious on TV but was clear at the ground. Colby had a good game, but was it the game of an openside? he playes like a 6 or 8 and I think is only referred to as openside because of his height. We must have a forward pack that is committed to the breakdown to ensure quick ball over and over again. This also applies in defence, we are not slowing down oposition play except when we give away penalties, we need urgency, timing and pressure applied.
Move Colby to 8 Hooper at 7 Rocky at 6 with a combination of Kimlin Chapman Hand and Chis covering second row and Rocky when he fades.

Well said LG,

Off memory Genia was behind

1. Thomas Tusitala (ACT)
2. N. Sievert (NSW)
3. Schwalger (NSW)

I recall that win at the Barracks, Peter Betham crossed after the siren & Christian Lealiifano kicked winning conversion as Ben Lucas was injured in that last play. Genia came of the bench & was skinny kid with the afro.....he had a solid game but wasn't physical enough & as seen in the last 2 years, his man body came & everything else fell into place for him.

I just saw the Samoa has picked Thomas Tusitala to prepare for the World Cup
Any idea of where he is currently playing or what he has done in his career so far?
