St Peters 1st squad looks promising

They have alot of talents in that team for next year. There are few new faces to the team. Linton Enoch and Adrian Henly who are qld u15 rugby league players and they also have their outside centre, Moses Rambi. Rambi was average last year. Heard alot about the kid and didnt see much out of him against St Eddies, got injured in the second half. Hope he can deliver next year for St peters.
Best of luck to St peters.

Probably one of the most interesting match ups for this team will come down to who wears the 9 jersey. Based on my opinion and my opinion only, i believe the Bingham boy deserves it, he posses the skills needed for a genuine scrum half. However, that's not to say Aidan Beiers can't fill this role, for anyone who watched the St. Laurence's 16A's this year would know what he is capable of, but there is just that little something missing from his game, that i can't quite put my finger on... will be an interesting pre-season for the Lauries fellas.

Yes all true but i know of this Bradley Kelagi?, hepossesses good ball handeling skills and he is a good size and built for the 9 position, this would be a geat bonus for the team, he has a good shot of making it over these two good players because of his agressiveness because these two are both liter and less powefull

I've watched many of the 1st XV and 16A's games of the AIC competition this year; particularly Eddies, St Peters and Marist and I've really come to enjoy watching the likes of Tevita Maka, Andrew Manu, Rory Humphries, Lachlan Roe, Moses Rambi and Jordan Tkatchenko. These boys will hold their respected 1st XV teams up next year without a doubt. The last fella I named not many know of; Jordan Tkatchenko. He is a good five-eighth who has the capacity to win games and it really showed it in the St Peters 16A's surprising season, particularly the win over Lauries this year.
So look out for these kids next year!
I am definitely looking forward to a close AIC season next year.
My tip: Eddies.

Who are favourites this year? Any of the teams likely to challenge the GPS boys in trial games?

i dont kno man mcbride beat our 15a team in the second half when we were up by like 15 points. hes actually alright

He has a strong kicking game, and has the confidence and is starting to get the size, wouldnt be surprised to see him playing first 15 in 2013, wouldnt bag him out too early

Firstly, I find it comical that people on this forum continue to write off iona... this year's team will have 8 players returning with first xv experience from 2011 (there were seven 16 year olds and one year eleven 17 year old in last years team), 2 of which were selected in U16 queensland red with one being named player of the tournament and the other now signed with the broncos. Most of the others who played last year have rep experience and are all solid players. Secondly, the idea that "Ashgrove, Eddies, Lauries and Villa" will be the dominant four for this season is ridiculous. St Eddies will undoubtedly be a powerhouse this year, and in my pick are premiership favourites, and Ashgrove will not be far off the pace either (although their rugby dominance has dropped over the past few years). However the idea of lauries and villa being in the top 4 teams is just rubbish, and I believe both will even struggle to beat this years St Peters outfit... Anyway regardless of what people say, 2012 will be a very interesting season.

Iona rugby 2012 are shaping up to be a dominate team with most of the boys having played together and meshing well with each other Lauries will have a good team this year, and Eddies will be a powerhouse as usual.

Yeah the whole team is solid. Anderson, Burke, Holt, Wilkin, Corcoran and McKersey all played every game in last years First XV, with matt scott playing the trial against Nudgee 2nd XV before breaking his ankle a week later and Josh Fifita-Chaudary starting in the pre-season trial against Brisbane Grammar. On top of that, Anderson, Ozanne, Dawson, McKersey, Burke and Yak played rep last year. Obviously Wilkin and Corcoran are freaks and no further comment is needed.

Yeah they certainly have a very good chance, I would put them in the comp's top three this year along with Eddies and Ashgrove. In respect to schoolboy rep I would say all 15 players are capable of playing in either AIC 1 or 2, although the blokes who played last year will be more likely to be selected. Also i forgot to mention number 6 Jack Holt was selected in the Chairman's XV for last years QLD schoolboy trials as a year 11 player. He is certainly a talent and is sometimes overlooked because he shares the flanks with Wilkin. Personally I would rate Iona's flanker pairing the best in the competition.
