While on topic of the next games, what are everyone's predictions for this weeks games?

Marist Ashgrove Vs. Villanova
St. Peter's Vs. St. Edmund's
St. Laurence's Vs. Iona
Padua Vs. St. Patrick's

Marist vs Villa - the ashgrove boys will be riding high after their surprise victory over Eddies, Ash by 15
Peters vs Eddies - Game of the Year. With marist having done peters a massive favour and peters carrying a lot of momentum this game will be huge. My heart says Peters, who are chasing their first premiership in 12 years, but my head says Eddies who are going to be pissed about their loss. too close to call. should be an awesome game for the neutrals
Lauries vs Iona - Iona should be too strong for an underperforming Lauries side, Iona by 10
Padua vs Patties - will be very close, tipping an upset for Patties. Patties by less than 5.

Brad Wilkin was originally picked at 8 but is back playing 7... incase you haven't noticed. He would play rep duties at 7 regardless of whether he played 8 for Iona anyway.

On that note, surely AIC team announcements can't be far away. Does anyone know when they will be announced?

Marist Ashgrove Vs. Villanova - Marist will be the clear favourites for this game. After an impressive victory against the original competition favourties, they will be even more pumped up for this round. I'm tipping Marist to beat a determined Villa side by 14.

St. Peter's Vs. St. Edmund's - After last weeks upset, I feel that St. Edmund's will be extremely fired up to beat St. Peter's in order to still have a chance to win the premiership. I would like to see St. Peter's win this one, however I reckon the boys from Ipswich will be stronger in this game. Very close game expected, I'm tipping Eddies by 3.

St. Laurence's Vs. Iona - An interesting game to be at this weekend. Lauries have had an average season, while Iona have had a better season overall. But both teams will be determined to get a win this week. Iona look better on paper and Lauries confidence will be down after suffering from a loss at home last weekend against Padua. I'm going with Iona by 10.

Padua Vs. St. Patrick's - This is a very big game for both colleges every year. It's the battle for bragging rights on the Northside of Brisbane. As traditional rivals both teams will be fired up, and a big crowd is expected at Banyo this week. Although both teams haven't had the best season, I believe that they will produce their best displays this week. In saying this, I reckon that Padua will be stronger than the St Patrick's team, and I reckon they will win by 17.

No bias????? Let's go back to round 2: SLC 25 def SPC 5. Round 5: Padua 17 def SLC 10. Truth does hurt doesn't it champion

Oh, I went on the assumption teams changed around during the season due to injury, how stupid of me. Upsets are impossible, why don't we just get you to decide who wins every game in the AIC and we'll do aggregate points from there, champion?

No need for me to do that, seems like you've already got it covered.

Exactly, by saturday we'll see if Padua manage the upset.

In other news, the Lauries boys are keen to bash around Iona this weekend.

Am interested to hear people's thoughts on how the sides of today would match up against some of the superstar sides of the past 5 years such as Lauries 08, Iona 09 and villa in 2010? How would 2012 teams such as eddies and peters go against these teams and who does everyone believe is the best team from the past 5 years overall?

Oh my god, Eddies don't import. Manu came in year 10 from Keebra. Perese came from Nudgee last year because he got expelled. Bennet came last year from West Mac. Kyle Blackman came from West Mac last year. The rest have been there since grade 8. As for Peter's they do import. Funny enough this year they (Peter's) suddenly have gone good. This year's first xv for Eddies won the premiership when they were in 15 A's 2 years ago.

Slightly behind the time frame mentioned but in my opinion Marist team of '06 would have it on any of the sides mentioned above.

Anyone know when the Qld U16 team is named. Ashgrove have a number of players such as Henry Devine 12, Mitch Trealeaven?15, Ryan Haling 3 and Sam Clarke 7. All of whom are in the first fifteen. Peters whos 1st have a very young back line include bennett 14, Adrian 15 12, kepa 9 & Enoch 13.I'm not sure about the rest but Lauries number nine looks to be 16 and has a great boot. These players have been impressive against boys much older and and experienced. I think Adrian had the u15 qld fullback spot last year for league with counterpart enoch somewhere in it too. Devine who is in the nts and Sam Clarke would have a great shot at the team. Not sure about the gps blokes but as usual, selectors would have their eyes over them more. Would light give us an insight on u16 gps boys that would contest against the names listed.

#9 James Tuttle (Nudgee)
#10 Mack Mason (Downlands)

#13 Henry Devine/Jaidon Schafer/Todd Dawson (Ashgrove/Churchie/Iona)
#14 Narhyl Bennett/Riley Brennen (St Peters/Nudgee)
#15 Adrian Aiden/Mitch Treleaven (St Peters/Ashgrove)
