Given that the 4 Wagga based clubs have all ended up in the same division it creates two weekends of double headers at Conolly Park (Round 14) and Charles Sturt Uni (Round 15) when both teams are playing at home against visiting clubs.
Wagga is a little bit unique in the fact that four clubs share two venues which generally works out during the season as the draw can be "rigged" so that neither team plays at home on the same weekend.
I wonder what the case will be when these clubs have home games on the same weekend? City and Tahs should be ok because they have two (three if they wanted to use it) grounds and decent lighting, but CSU and Aggies may be in trouble given that they only have one ground and some pretty spartan lighting.

ROUND TWELVE PREVIEW:
So now that everyone has played each other once, we split into Premier Division (Walsh and Blair Cup) and First Division (Romano’s Cup). The Premier Division will be made up of Albury, Aggies, City, Waratahs, CSU and Temora while the First Division will comprise Cootamundra, Young, Griffith, Tumut and Leeton with RARC having forfeited for the remainder of the season. Temora deserve some wraps for busting into the Premier Division, it wasn’t so long ago that the Tuskers were a one team club and the fact that they have been as successful as they have been on the field is a credit to the hard work being done off the field as well.
PREMIER DIVISION:
Tahs (4) v CSU (5) @ Conolly Rugby Park
Waratahs were well served by their new RARC recruits last week against the Steamers and Coach Mick Barrett will be looking for similar performances from his troops this week against CSU. CSU lose Jack Burey for a couple of weeks due to a broken nose which will really disrupt things in the backline for them, particularly considering the University holidays are now in effect as well. Both teams are playing for a spot in the Top 4 now and this game is their best chance to earn some much needed competition points as both teams are tied on 37 points with Waratahs in 4th place based on For and Against. I would expect to see a tough forwards contest in this one – Waratahs may have a slight edge in the halves but CSU are the Tahs bogey team of late.
Aggies (2) v City (3) @ Beres Ellwood Oval +10 – MATCH OF THE ROUND
This is potentially City’s best shot at beating Aggies so far this season. City welcomed forever young #8 Joe Tora back to the fold last week against CSU and Joe helped keep the City juggernaut rolling on with some solid runs from the scrum base. Aggies were their usual clinical selves out in the MIA last week against the Phantoms with a particular standout performance from Dave Armsrong and will be looking for a similar result this weekend. This match could be decided by the battle of the 5/8’s with Dan Moloney up against Hamish Wrafter, now Wagga City may have an edge here given that Peter Armstrong and Chris Stott are both unavailable this weekend. Both teams have sizeable forward packs which will be a real highlight to watch and Aggies will be welcoming boom centre Tim Corcoran back through the reserve grades. This match will be a good indicator of how these teams will fair for the remainder of the split as there are no easy games in either division for the rest of the season.
Temora (6) v Albury (1) @ Temora Recreation Ground
Life will not be easy for the Tuskers this week as they take on the undefeated Steamers at Temora Recreation Ground. Albury have been in impeccable form to date and will travel to Temora with plenty of confidence for the first match of the split competition. Temora’s backline will be disappointed they didn’t fire as well as they could have last week and the likes of Campbell Maxwell and Bill McCrone will be keen to make amends this weekend. The matchup between Louie Levett and Adam Bensch will be one to watch in the backrow.
FIRST DIVISION:

Look out Tumut, here comes Cootamundra! This match is a real local derby and there is no love lost between the two towns. Cootamundra are not happy about being stuck in First Division again and are keen to show the First Division that they mean business while the Bulls are keen to keep working hard for the remainder of their 2012 campaign. I’m not sure what to expect in this match because it really hinges on availability for both teams, if both teams put their regular First Grade team on the paddock it will be a good solid match but you never know who is going to show up for these two clubs.
Young (8) v Griffith (9) @ Cranfield Oval
What’s happened to the Yabbies in recent weeks? They’ve hit some decent form in the later stages of the competition and are stringing a few wins together of late. Whatever Luke Eldridge has been doing for the last month, he’ll be keen to emulate for the remaining rounds of the competition. Griffith won’t be keen to trek over to Young particularly given the cold weekend forecasts.

I think this weekend determined the fact that reddies and temora wont be playing finals footy this year.
I also dont think the bye will suit the tahs or aggies as both have only just started to find some form. Looking forward to see how tahs will handle city in a couple of weeks and of course aggies vs albury in wagga in 3 weeks.

Apparently Tahs scored some cracking tries against CSU.
What's more interesting is the fact that Mick Roche played 30 odd mins for Tahs on the weekend. My mail says that he made a huge difference in that game.
Both teams have the potential to win 2 more games coming into the finals series, although Tahs being 5 points clear of Reddies on the ladder makes life tough for CSU - you would have to think that the top four will be decided over the next three weeks.

BRUMBIES PROVINCIAL v AUSTRALIAN POLICE
There is a General Bye this weekend for the Rep Game between the Australian Police and Brumbies Provincial teams at Canberra Stadium tomorrow.
SIRU have been rocked by the loss of Captain Dave Armstrong to a back complaint and will miss him dearly in this match as he has been a consistent standout in the rep team.
Jock Munro from Wagga Waratahs steps into the skippers role, with James Whiteley taking over a bench spot to cover Dave Armstrong. Nic Walker also bags a call up to replace Bart Whiteley who has a fractured collarbone.
Interestingly, Cameron Rosser has stepped down as Manager of the Brumbies Provincial Team... Is he even in the country?

Looking at the Australian Police Team there is some serious fire power in the Coaching ranks with Brendan Allardyce and Shannon Fraser both sporting Level III Qualifications, I wonder whether that will do anything to turn around the Police sides fortunes considering the Brumbies Provincial team have managed a win in their previous two encounters?
Either way, it's going to be a good game of footy and a great opportunity for players from both teams to have a trot on Canberra Stadium and then watch the Brumbies smoke the Blues!

Hopefully all the teams are refreshed after their week off for the General Bye and those players who were playing Rep Footy have all recovered well and front up for their clubs this weekend. Round 12 was the round where the scores were meant to become a lot closer which we saw in the First Division, but not in the Premier Division. Does this mean that there are three standouts for the GF? Did City get the wakeup call they needed? Are Tahs contenders for another GF appearance? Should Temora have made the Top Six? Did Coota get out of jail last weekend? Have the Yabbies hit a purple patch? All these questions will be answered over the next three weeks or so as we head towards the finals series!

Albury were able to let their foot off the pedal against the Tuskers last weekend as they were up 43-0 at half time and had the bonus point wrapped up inside 20mins while CSU appeared to be stunned by the match they got from Waratahs. Albury will be happy to be back at home this week and will be looking forward to welcoming some regular first (and second) graders back after travelling to Temora a little light on for numbers. CSU missed Jack Burey in Round 12 and will be more than happy to welcome him back to First Grade after a solid performance at Canberra Stadium for the Brumbies Provincial Team.

Well these old rivals are at it again this week and I’m not sure what to make of this encounter as both sides are coming off completely different games in their previous matches. Nothing went right for City in their game against Aggies while Tahs will have gained some confidence from their match against CSU. For me, this one will come down to attitude, both teams are handy enough (even if Tahs haven’t had the best season to date) and have the ability to bag a win here. It will ultimately be decided by the attitudes of the two teams. Xavier Chigwidden has not played for two weeks for Tahs and Hamish Wrafter is under an injury cloud following the Aggies match (I wonder what their coaches think about them playing rep footy?). Wagga City need their backrow to fire rather than leaving it up to Joe Tora to lead them around the field and will have a tough day at the office given the recent form of the two RARC recruits that Tahs have in the backrow.

This is a tough match to call as neither team has a large selection of players playing rep footy this weekend so they should both be refreshed by the bye but that’s not always the case. Looking at the draw, this is Leeton’s best opportunity to play finals footy this year as both teams are on equal points. If Leeton get up at home here with a bonus point win, Tumut and Leeton could potentially finish the season tied on points. Add to the mix the travel involved for the Bulls and the result is anyone’s guess.

Xavier and Matt Binks both started in 2nd Grade on Saturday and only played 20mins of 1st Grade. It would be tough to leave him out, he played rep footy the week prior to this round.
I wonder what Aggies will do this weekend with the Armstrong boys? Pete has been overseas and Dave hasn't played for two weeks with a back complaint.
