The Tahs could have spend 5-10 trainings at the clubs ground in a given year, then the club could pass on the dollars when the player plays for them.

Sure, it's still seedy as fuck but at least nobody can argue nobody rendered the services paid for.

Geez Randwick could be rich with the amount of use the Wallabies and SOO League teams give Coogee Oval.
Shame they don't own their oval.
Wonder if the clubs involved own their ovals or are accepting money on behalf of a council?

I thought the fee was for "ground payments". They could have found literally ANY reason to use any of the club's facilities.

they don't own it but doesn't Randwick pay for the maintenance regardless?

I'm thinking this is related to Southern Districts. I can't think of any other ground that the Tahs have used. NSW/Waratahs A played 3 games there earlier in the season against Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. Southern Districts also own Forshaw.

There's a few Tahs down there; Ulugia, Pakalani, BKH, Hart, Horne, Douglas, Timanis - could be related to any of them.

The Tahs train at Victoria Barracks a lot.

If the Tahs are the province that is in breach, maybe the payments are being made to cover shortfalls in Commonwealth Funding for Defence Forces?

I hear on good authority that shit is going to hit the fan. Souths, Uni and Easts involved. Waratahs have been naughty boys . Looks like some white-out my also be required for Jason Allen's car park sign

Sidenote: If this is true and the Woodies aren't involved (but so many other clubs are) and still they manage to be successful that'd be mighty impressive.

What sort of penalty can we realistically expect to see from the ARU towards NSWRU...

The ARU doesn't have the balls to risk upsetting anymore NSW fans so they are unlikely to enforce a competition point docking rule or reducing the salary cap,i expect its going to be a financial penalty and given the recent resignations, they will probably say a staff 'clean-out' was also part of the punishment..

Its pretty shit that fans get punished for the failures at a management level..

I was thinking Souths, I do think they may be just as much in the wrong or to blame as the Tah's themselves.
If they did breach the cap, why?
Player retention and the need of a 3T, how many players have Souths / lost over seas this year? No reason to breach the Salary Cap laws but it does suggest a need.

Salary cap should be bigger in NSW cos it costs more to live here. palu is living in the western suburbs for f sake. The ARU need to make a stand for good here.
