Looks like the Force have today released Sidey, Harvey, Stanley, Repana and Battye nothing official yet but it was reported on ABC radio today so will be interesting what comes of this in the coming days.

Stanley and Repana could have been anything, the rest is good simple logic.

Wonder who the replacements are set to be? After watching the Shute Shield GF you'd be insane not to snatch up Pakalani (which I believe you already have).

Sidey and harvey were always in danger but i must say i didnt see Battye getting the chop. I guess with 3M tipped to be coming as well as Rory Walton on a EPS their want much room for him. I thought he went well last year hopefully he gets picked up somewhere.

Would have liked Repana to stick around i thought he would have been great but for injury last year and with Stanley gone we are looking even more think in the 12 area.

Rapana? He hasn't played a game for the Force because of an injury and he's being released? Is the injury still a concern?

Someone please let Michael O'Connor know the Force are releasing him and get this guy into the 7s program.

Good to see the Force (Foley) looking to upgrade the playing list. New regime, new direction.

Shame with Rapana as he had a knee reco prior to 2012 season and we never got to see him.

Don't know if we will get any news until after the AFL grand final.

I don't mean to be negative but I've never seen much in Battye. I've always thought he was only playing top level footy because he's one of those rare blokes who's built like a professional second rower.

I hope he surprises me, he's got plenty of time to do so.

Some sort of rise from the ashes?

Wouldn't that make for a great story.

Seymour is not up to it unfortunately.
Stanley would be a surprise for me, thought he had promise.
Sidey, Harvey and Homes are dead weight that this level.

I knew Seymour & Rapanna were the one I knew of when posted some cuts comign a pages back. Harvey, Sidey we have known of for a while. Battye's exclusion says to me that MMM or a big Lock signing is on they way with Walton who i cant see being anything but EPS at this stage (Tom Alexander would have been an alright addition as well I would think with all the other line-out options we have). Stanley exclusion also says to me that perhaps Chris Tuitara is going to be given at least a gig in the 22 to start and that SNK & Godwin are right up in the mix.
Holmes wasn't to bad but he needs a steady hand outside him. Harvey is the same if he had a bit more quality he would have done better but I think the northern hemisphere game suits him well (should go sign a deal in England or Italy.
I believe a winger is on the way Pakalani if reports are to be believed as well as a budget outside centre. My tip is one from QLD with a big name brother.

Nor according to my tallies this means we currently have a spread of (inc. EPS):

5 Props - 2 Hookers - 3 Locks - 6 Backrowers - 3 Scrumhalfs - 2 Flyhalfs - 2 Insides - 2 Outsides - 1 Wing- 1 FB. To me if the signign of MMM is to be believed i would say we will be full for locks and backrows and if injury occurs to our locks McCalman and Brown will double. We have a hooker and prop spot for EPS. I would say also an out side back as well. I think the force next few signings will have to be wings (Pakalani) and Fullbacks (Volavola?). I would suggest they will use their next overseas marquee spot here as well. But I think if MMM gets signed and with this exodus of players the coache sneed to leave the forwards and look to bolster their backs....end of essay

Battye and Stanley may yet be safe with Junior Rasolea in danger of losing his contract after failing his medials.
