Nick Zangari played in Premier Reserve on the weekend, not sure whether he was returning from injury or has just ended up their. Im thinking with Reds A player Sam Johnson at 13 he takes Zangas position.

Yes but I thought the CEO's son has been wearing the GPS #12?

The same referee was in charge against Easts and the penalty count that day was off the scale as well. Against Norths and GPS the count was reasonable and even. Must be something to do with interpretation.

Warhorse not as though the tigers were thrilled with referee Moore allowing the Souths tacklers to lie around in the breakdown in round 2. Souths were lucky the penalty count wasn't more pardon the pun.

And his failure to give Easts a penalty on full time after calling a penalty advantage on full time was a disgrace.

DELETED - No reason to slur an uninvolved party

With regard to Albert, the word I hear is that he hasn't yet been cleared back to Sunnybank, so we may yet see him back in the black and white that he wore so well as a junior.

Albert doesn't need a clearance from Sunnybank to play for South. It is not clubs that have to give clearances but it is the state/regional unions. Primarily the clearance process ensures that if someone is suspended by a particular union he can't move to another state/province without serving the penalty period.

Therefore if a player moves clubs within the same union (e,g. Within the QPR comp) he doesn't need a clearance from the QRU.

Why then is Albert having second thought about his return to his junior club??? He must love playing for the Bank???

Filth no clearance required if you change clubs from the Breakers to the Tigers.

Hi TT I agree that Albert didn't need a clearance to move from Sunnybank to Souths. You don't need a clearance if you change clubs between seasons in the QPR, however if a player "signs" with a QPR club for 2014 (Souths) and then decides to move to another club, either in the QPR (Sunnybank) or another state/regional union, he/she must be cleared by the 2014 club (Souths).

I really don't think that Souths can restrict Albert from turning out for Snbk this year.

In any event it may well be all academic because Snbk's season may be as good as done by the time the Reds can turn out for their clubs.

And Souths nor any club(incl. professional teams) can't make a player turn out for them if they don't want to.

Richard Graham should be sending as many players as possible to turn out for club rugby.

The year is as good as done for the reds... No need to save players for the playoffs

I am not saying that Souths would stand in the way of Albert playing again for Sunnybank, if he really, really wants too. All I said was that a clearance was required and as far as I know, as of Saturday, that clearance had not yet been signed. It may well have been finalised in the interim. I don't know.

Sadly SX I think you are right.

Unfortunately though it is not unfamiliar territory for Richard Graham/Nick Stiles coached teams, but I don't think the blame can simply be apportioned to the coaching set-up I think the players need to take most of the responsibility for where they are sitting at present.

Maybe some players of the 2011 Championship team should have been moved on by now.

Everyone slows down at some stage even the great Richie McCaw has shown signs this S15 season - I just hope the ABs try to hang on to Richie and a few other of their RWC11 side because they have a history of hanging onto guys for just one too many RWCs (circa. 1991).

With the SA franchises struggling and political unrest in the Republic regarding player quotas - see today's Australian - and an aging AB side maybe the Wallabies can get their house in order and win RWC15.

In the mean time I hope for Graham/Stiles sake that the Reds can turn things around and get something from this season, because they are both great blokes who care very much about Qld Rugby. Unfortunately coaches fitting that description have been tried and failed before for Qld.

The last H&A round of S15 coincides with R16 of QPR.

I think the players have to take a week off at the conclusion of Super Rugby Campaigns so the earliest that clubs will have their Reds available is R18 QPR.

Look Warhorse - I don't think anyone (apart from Souths/Snbk supporters) cares who Albert Anae plays for.

But why would he choose Snbk over Souths?? - think about it!!

The Albert Anae saga is getting to a Sam Greene level of interest!!

I haven't been raising the Albert Anae matter, merely responding to other posts from TT and Filth regarding the matter. I would rather be discussing the players we have not the players we may or may not have.
I am happy for the issue to be closed, over and out or as Tony Abbott would say "dead, buried and cremated".

But what would you expect from a guy who is Brendan McKibin's Bros in law!!!

If you lay off the personal abuse you probably won't come across as such a tosser.

Now before a grand shxx fight starts, I will have to jump to TT's defence. I think he was having a go at Brothers (as per usual) instead of Kibbo.

Absolutely Filth - I actually think McKibin was an outstanding Premier Rugby player for Brothers and was one of the main reasons that they were so hard to beat whilst he ever wore the Brothers #9.

The brother in law dig was tongue and cheek - possibly questioning Moore's impartiality in a Brothers v Souths game!

I wasn't having a go at Brother at all - for a change - and Refabit I apologise if your think I am a tosser.

I contribute honestly and frankly to this forum and I just like to see others do likewise.

Can you explain the meaning of "Refabit"? Is this a play on the word "referee"?

Does anyone with knowledge of the Refereeing ranks know when Hoffman, O'Brien or Michelmore might referee a QPR game?

I thought Paul Haydock (E v W, Rnd 3) and Luke Moloney (E v N, Rnd 4) were pretty good and treated the players with respect and in so doing got the same in return. No one likes arrogance from a referee.

Well done to those two young men who have made their way through the refereeing ranks.

Also has the exchange of Referees with Sydney been canned this year?

I would love to comment on the referees being bias but listening to some of the crap they cop from the sidelines I know I'd find it hard not to be a bit harsh on some teams.

Matt O'Brien refereed the Souths v GPS game.

I totally agree, Jets. The amount of garbage referees cop from the sideline is ridiculous. They have nowhere near the technology or means that Super XV officials have. The far majority do a great job week to week.

That's a bit tough on me and my mate Filth.

I won't make comment on Easts but I don't see Brothers being vastly different to a few others clubs.

I appreciate the difficult job they have to do but I don't understand why in QPR the sideline officials don't use their microphones to point out when the Ref has clearly missed something. They only seem to use the mics if they are wanting to make a report or in making replacements.
