The Reds have been the ultimate masters of their fall from grace but the have copped some horrors from the Refs this season.

Over the whole comp in 2014, the officiating has been the shittiest it has been for quite some years or maybe ever.

I can understand Kev's frustration.

Long track record? Yeah he does but that doesn't excuse

And whilst Cheika will criticise, the tone is a tad different in tone to

He has been struggling in post match interviews all season - just to keep them up beat/positive at all, whilst I appreciate his position, there are lines that generally aren't crossed, I think he crossed it and can expect the be sanctioned

The ultimate Cheika I actually had in mind was the breaking of the window.

I am not even that certain Kev was on the money in what he said. I would be wanting Ed's hide before Walsh. I just am pissed off at the way the game had moved on before the video ref spoke up. I think they should shut up and speak when they are asked by the ref only. It is a sham the communication between the officials. The ref needs to make it clear that he is fucking the cat and the other three are only holding the tail.

Not being an expert in cat fucking,I can only surmise, that when in the act of fucking said cat.
I think I would prefer my 3 assistants do more than merely hold the tail.
But maybe that's just me.

Ed ODonoghue found not guilty if eye gouging. Red card struck from record.

QLD - commences smashing keyboards in 3 2 1.....

Just to get it right from the outset, Ed was never charged with eye gouging. He was charged with conduct contrary to good sportsmanship.
Kind of makes Kev's comments post match a bit more justified now doesn't it.

No it wasn't. Walsh was trying to talk the TMO out of it for fucks sake.

He's been saved by Higginbotham's testimony that he didn't get him in the eye........

Still, there's no place for attacking a player's face...........

In the end he's very lucky not to have a couple of months off...........

So the guy that he's alleged to have gouged said they he wasn't gouged and the original decision to send him off for gouging is correct?

As far as trolls go, you're not even trying Slim.

Sorry but I still don't think we can blame what really couldve been seen as a 50/50 penalty (ultimately the red card would not have made a difference) as the reason we lost. I'm a reds fan through and through and am always open to ref bagging where it is justified (that fuckwit Stuart Berry comes to mind) but we cocked it up on Saturday night. Walshy was pro QLD if anything and in no way did we deserve to win. Poetic justice, maybe, but certainly not a stolen win.

Based on the evidence at the time - EOD's hands going over Higger's face near his eyes it was the right decision to send him off....

I don't necessarily agree that it was a card worthy offence but yes, I can definitely understand why a penalty may have been awarded, thus losing us the game either way.

Definitely at least a penalty.........

Any ref that sees that is not going to take it lightly, so I don't think it's fair to accuse the ref of costing the Reds the match...........

You just don't go near the face..........

Yeah we were crap and the Rebels deserved the win but you can't say that the penalty reversal didn't influence the result!
It was all square with a couple of minutes on the clock and we had an attacking lineout in their half. As a direct result of the penalty, the Rebels take the lead and we have to kick of to them, regain possession and score a try to win it.
It 100% influenced the result.
