We can all stop worrying, I found what a super donkey really is.

Fantastic - I'd be very happy if he warrants the spot . - suppose it would be ireelevant to you whether it is based on performance or not.

YOU get me wrong all the time. ALL i have ever said were comments as to performances. If James (or anyone else for that matter) performs then great. If they do not then piss off. I don't want a team (irrespective of the player) of under-achievers, one based on loyalty, one where players die from old age but still remain in the squad.

In respect of James, I have said that he will find it tough to be in the 23 and he is very unlikely to be run-on. TWAS you have genuine man-love for the bloke and would have the bloke run-on as well as depose Hooper as Captain.

So Im thinking we should start a petition to get Speights, Brother and Sister over for the Bledisloe cup match, we all seen what he did to the Chiefs when he had one brother here. We may need some Henry magic to get the cup back.

Our Super donkey as described by the illustrious Georgina Robinson:

TYRO Wallaby Sam Carter tipped to face All blacks in Rugby Championship opener.

Glad she letting us know what she really thinks.

TYRO (definition): a person who has just started learning or doing something : a beginner or novice; a person who is just starting out in a field of activity

Trying to work out of its a cheap shot, veiled insult or poor journalism. IMHO its pretty harsh for any player of proven Wallabies standard to be described like this.

Quality journalism at its best. Her first edit of this story (see twitter for the funny tweet) was to name the correct player - Tom Carter? Wow so similar to Sam I am not surprised she got mixed up!

Tyro is often used to refer to younger participants - remember Phil Waugh being described in such a way (long ago).

No insult is meant by it, and you could hardly say that in terms of Test experience he is any more than that.

Put the gun down and take a breath :)

Only my interpretation and I think would be ok if if he were an 18 year old or just out of school-boys. I suppose I figure you can be a top line player without needing to represent your country so when you do you are hardly a tyro by definition. Also in reading the article the second paragraph provides a description that contradicts the tyro tag. Just a bit harsh IMHO when referring to Wallabies player.

bloody hell there is absolutely nothing insulting about that article at all..

As for your interpretation, she calls him a ''Tyro Wallaby'', the definition of Tyro as you have stated is someone who is starting out, he is a one test wallaby thus the description of him as a "Tyro Wallaby" is applicable.

Think you might be getting your tyros and players mixed up. The reference to tyro was in relation to Fardy as I understand. Scott has more than one test to his credit. I think you are referring to Sam Carter, an altogether different kettle of fish. For the record, I would not class Fardy as a tyro, but I don't take offence at Georgina's apparent gaffe.

Edit : my mistake. Just ignore this post if you would be so kind.

Whats disturbing is that she is reporting the possibility of McCabe starting on one wing in place of Badger!
I would imagine that Sam Carter would be thrilled to be referred to as a tyro.

Why would McCabe be disturbing, he has been very good this season. (He should have started more for the ponies) He has the defensive qualities of Horne, with better attacking skills and he is great under the high ball?
