The contracting thing is a
What a fall from Grace. Lose your Bok place and now club wants to hoof you. Feel sorry for the guy. He took a lot of stick but did some great things. He saved us a whole lot of embarrassment against the Lions. Let's not forget that.

I don't think we will ever see him again. Unless something in Meyer's head goes pop.

Anyone bothered to keep an eye on Goosen?
And these Frenchies are are the first people to complain when players are on national duty.

I think everyone's overreacting. How on earth can anyone say Morne has lost his place in the Bok setup indefinately? He may or may not be a starter but I'm pretty sure he's not out of the running. You don't dismiss a player after 5 years of exceptional service, make it 4 if you take one bad year just because he made one mistake. There have been worse mistakes made by players who still featured for years afterwards I'd imagine.

I prefer Pollard and Lambie but just because both of them had 2 consecutive good games doesn't mean Morne is gone. Morne made a similar kick to Lambie on his debut. How many good games has morne had consecutively and how many records does he hold. He will at least be 3rd choice in my opinion.

We haven't heard much of Goosen and we have not heard much of Brussouw.

Brussouw is not as good as some of our loosies. I rate both Marcel and Flouw above him. Again, I will ask the question, when was the last time Brussouw did something awesome? How many penalties does he give away of late? How does his form of 2009, 2010 and 2011 warrant him a place above the incumbents who are excelling?

I will be very surprised to see Steyn start a test again unless both Lambie and Pollard are injured. Never might be a bit strong but I think Meyer has moved on. He still talks a lot about Goosen.

You cannot seriously think that Moernaai will somehow play himself back into being the number one choice?

Who wants Moernaai if you can have Pollard/Lambie and a bunch of talent like Jaco van der Walt, Willie du Plessis, Cat Killer. Even Lionel Cronje look like finally playing to the promise he showed as a youngster.

Do you want me to post the Brussouw qoute again? Duane Vermeulen struggle for ages to get in the Bok sqaud because there was Spoes. Brussouw and Vermeulen with Scholtz was one hell of a combo for the Cheetahs. Plus it doenst need a lot of brain cells to realise that he was VERY good in the Bok jersey. He hasnt lost a test vs the All Blacks during his time. He was and still will be the perfect flank mate for Vermeulen. Add Alberts and you have the perfect combination.

How do you know this? You probably think the same about Oupa.
Is it bob or Stransky who loves requoting:

A good bigun will always beat a good littleun
Unfortunately most of the players you are advocating fall under the latter category. Fortunately, we have alot of players here in SA which allows us to not have to settle for a good littleun (unlike some of the other countries where good littleuns have performed admirably, but short of exceptional.)

Thats just bull shite. What about Lambie? That van der Walt laaitie is an excellent 10. He came from nowhere. Good stepper and kicker.

I knew nothing about Oupa and hence did not comment on his selection at all. I had literally not seen him touch a ball up to last weekend. I said that I really wished him the best and hoped that he would play well to silence the critics.

As for Carr I watched him all season in Super Rugby and in recent Currie Cup games. He strikes me as a great Super rugby player but does not make me sit up and go this guy must be a bok. Whiteley offers more in my opinion.

Problem is what is he? Blindside, openside or 8? He's also not a genuine lineout option. Great around the park though.

Paarl Brussow is one of my favourites. You know that. But for some reason Heyneke doesnt rate him.

Heinrich is the type of guy you can cll on Friday afternoon, shove into a test on Saturday and he will play an absolute blinder.

He has been wasted all these years but we won't see him again. Should have gone for big frog money already.

Look like he is already in the reconing.

Carr wants Bok jersey

Cape Town - Western Province loose forward Nizaam Carr has his sights firmly set on making the Springbok team.

The 23-year-old was on Tuesday night rewarded for a stellar season when he received the MVP and the Players' Player of the Year awards at the annual WP Rugby awards ceremony.

He was last month also invited to train with the Springboks in the build-up to their Rugby Championship Test against Australia at Newlands.

That experience made Carr even more determined to force his way into the Springbok fold.

"I got a nice taste if what it's like and I've got a huge hunger to experience more," he told Die Burger. "It was unbelievable to practice with the Springboks. Coach Heyneke (Meyer) told me positive things and that's a good sign."

What could count in Carr's favour is that he is equally adept at either No 8 or openside flank.

But for now, Carr and his WP team-mates have their sights firmly set on Currie Cup glory.

They tackle the Sharks at Newlands this weekend but because they have already secured top spot on the overall log, coach Allister Coetzee will rest a few key players, with Carr likely to get a well-deserved rest.
I'll have him any day in the Bok team above either Schalk or Marcel Coetzee on current form.

Well thats why I am still not at ease with Meyers way. There is absolute no reason why Brussouw should not be in that Bok sqaud. As you can see we have PoC who can be in the reconing on merit as loosies but he still pick useless overseas players and he is asking for unnecessary kak doing this.

Who wants Flo if you can have Carr????

Not sure what this is supposed to mean... So if Jacques du Plessis wins the same awards at the Bulls, I have full rights to clamor for his Bok squad inclusion...

Logic?

Nothing to do with the award, he play some excellent rugby since he made the step up S15. The award means that more people like myself see his worth.

I'm not saying he's bad - he's a pretty decent Super Rugby player, but not really anything more in my opinion.
