There is a chance Suncorp Stadium may stop this game going ahead

The cyclone won't. But there's a fair bit of collateral storm action happening. From 9pm tonight it will be heavy in Brisbane pretty much until late Friday night/ early Saturday morning.

Cyclone is expected to be category 5 when it hits land about 8am tomorrow.

What would cause Suncorp to stop the game? The water will get away surely. Just damage to the surface? I bloody hope not.
I have invested a fair bit emotionally into this promised redemption. Not sure I could wait another week for their next game!!

The only thing that will save the Force is if the cyclone forces the match to be cancelled.

Doesn't matter that we won 9 games last year and beat the reigning Super Rugby champions in round 1. There is still no respect for the Force. We get the usual patronising comments every year.

You better hope 'Dick' Graham stumbled across a coaching manual since last week.

let's not get too precious.

BH is effectively right. It was a go at our team. Suggesting on paper that I reckon most people would agree is man for man stronger than the Force. However we don't feel at all confident of the win considering all that is in our favour (venue, turn around time, etc).

I reckon there is every chance the Roar game will be cancelled tomorrow night but with the Foo Fighters in concert there next week, I can't see too much concern for turn damage from the Reds.

^^^^ Is it perhaps a recognition that the South Island is in draught ATM and may benefit from some liquid sunshine?

JOC (James O'Connor) to 10 is the right call. When the defensive line doesn't retreat 10m, Hunt takes it upon himself to retreat 10m so the proportions feel right :)

..but on paper they appear crap also :D

At some point you have to realize that guys that were good 2 or 3 years ago have now been surpassed and are living on past reputation.

You mean Matt Hodgson, Pek Cowan, Sam Wykes, Alby Mathewson, etc.:p

Storm? Understatement of the year.

Now a Cyclone catagory 5, the highest with winds up to 285klm. Should turn into a Catagory 1 after it passes over land & it tracks towards Brisbane, meaning a bucket load of rain.
I'd say the game is a 50/50% call at the moment. I mean they're predicting 300mm of rain, so who knows.
