Rouse Hill are off to play Newcastle Griffins tomorrow up at Mayfield.

Another trial against KOBs at Kings on the 28th. Might drop in on this one on my way to the Tahs v Blues.

Yeah honestly haven't been down yet, am helping out on the committee but work has procluded me from getting along.

Reports seem positive at the moment, good turnout for fitness sessions so far. We always battle to get blokes to pre-season, generally our recruitment work starts a few weeks before round 1.

But the vibe seems good. How's life at BOBs?

I'm told by the President this very evening that Rouse Hill will have sufficient numbers for 4th Division. Looking like a 10 team comp

Season 2015 is going to be very interesting.

I am looking forward to see how the promoted teams (Brothers Div 1) (Hills Div 2) and (Redfield Old Boys Div 3) perform and also how the demoted teams (St Ives + Oatley Div 3) and (Briars and Beecroft Div 4) fight on!!!!

Must say it is a shock to see Briars in Div 4, i am not expecting them to be there for long!!!!!

1st grade fullback from Drummoyne (little Irish guy - super quick, great player) to play with Colleagues this year.

I wonder if Subbies rep legend #10 Jake Havebond will be back at Drummoyne without the match payments?

Do you know of any reason why he has changed? Could it be a sign of things to come with the banning of payments. More players potentially playing for clubs they like and clubs that have more selling points other than cash?

That is exactly the reason. I believe he lives out that way also.

FootyHead#2, From your posts its clear that you are a Colleagues devotee but even saying that are you inferring that Colleagues have more to offer "outside of cash" than Drummoyne?

The player lives across the road from Colleagues so it makes sense for him to play there rather than at Drummoyne. He was living there last year as well but got some $ from Drummoyne. Now they are not playing he is playing for your Club.

While I am not in your position to ask him at training I would imagine that it is more about playing locally than coming to Colleagues for the culture which from all reports from players isnt as great as many make out at the Blue Giants.

Stay balanced my Eastern Suburbs counterpart.

BTW & everything aside - How are Colleagues looking this season? Whats the goal - back in the top 4 in Kentwell?

Haha nice try but I am certainly not a Colleagues man. I hate Colleagues!

But I respect the way they run their club and I have some mates down there.

Even if I was in a position to answer your question, I really don't understand what you are asking...

Quite a few Subbies players named in the Shute Shield teams for this week.

I'm continuing to hear very positive news out of the Barker camp around pre- season and trial form. Heard they towelled up the Bathurst Bulldogs in an away trial. Anyone heard anything regarding Forests new dream team and how they are settling in?

May not be the dream team they were hoping for. Heard that some of those suspected of going have returned to their previous club.

I must say after the trial on the weekend, a lot of the faces of Forest were very familiar from last years outings against the club. They still like the niggle too.
