The continued development and, hopefully, selection of Holloway and Gray has now become imperative. Cometh the hour, cometh the man.

So the reason Naiyaravoro didn't go to Dunedin was because he doesn't have a passport, likely to miss the Canes game too.

Thats a back office stuff up as well: I thought they would check all players' passports in November (say) tom make sure they didn't expire so as to make travel a problem.
Wouldn't they need passport numbers when they made their group travel arrangements for each game???????
(Every O/S tour - low level as they have been - that I've been involved in has had this requirement)

So in that check, do you think it would be "bring in your passport and show me all necessary visas" or the question "is your passport up to date and drop in a copy to "x" for our files"

IIRC there is a RUPA representative at each Super Club to assist and advise the players with "life skills" issues.

Between the unpaid interns, RUPA rep, and player managers, you would think that one or all of them could have prevented this situation arising.

What about individual responsibility? It is not rocket surgery. There are hundreds and thousands of Aussies abroad that manage to keep their passports current with all the right visas, while they are able to seek out the cheapest watering holes in which to drink copious amounts of alcoholic beverages in, whilst having $ left to eat cheaply, visit lots of destinations and still come home safely.

Any Tahs supporter know the weight of the new THP Thierry Marcial Kounga Kuate?

He looks like Tendai Mtawarira or Trevor Nyakane

He's a lot smaller, don't know his weight though. There are some pictures of him way back in this thread and you can see his size. He was listed as playing 1st grade for Randwick in week 1 but the last 2 weeks he's been absent from shute shield so I think he's injured again. I hope he's back soon.

So he weighs 105 kg or something like that? Because Mtawarira weighs 116 kg and Nyakane 110 kg. Whatever, he's only 17 so he's going to grow

It could be the getting back into Aus that could be the issue

But if he's working (i.e. playing rugby for a living) in Australia, wouldn't he need some sort of work visa to do so? He's not the first overseas born player to player super rugby for an Aussie team (or indeed league for an NRL team), surely this can't be that difficult?
