It's a valid question as to whether everyone is playing or preparing for Rugby at the expense of other sports
Nudgee , especially , had a pretty strong Tennis program 20 odd years ago but have lost the plot and it seems to only be a token endeavour these days
If you have a close look at what some of the better programs are doing in Tennis and Basketball in opening up the sporting scholar pathways beyond their schools ......more insular programs like Rugby , and the Directors in charge of those programs, could really learn a lot from these other programs in how they initiate life experience and scholastic / career opportunities for their young men beyond the four walls of their schools ( and the four walls of their Rugby programs )

[I know this is a rugby forum but nephew has no GPS tennis this weekend because NC do not have a single(nil/zip) grade 8 tennis team.
Most schools have 3 & BBC,BGS,GT & Churchie have 4.
They cant all be playing rugby ? piss poor. ]
The Guru - Actually Nudgee have one year 8 team - the 8D's.
The breakdown for Nudgee tennis is: 5A & B; 6A,B & C; 7A,B, C & D; 8D; 9A,B & C; 10 A,B & C; 11A & B; 1st, 2nd, 3rds.
Not all that piss poor after all!

Most schools will have 7 teams without a match when the play NC..Even TGS had 28 teams.Where are the 8A & B.?
