It has just been announced that the "about to be published" book "Richard Graham's Coaching Achievements" has been shortlisted to join a very elite list of published works.

Click here to see the the other titles on that elite list.

Reds HQ must be mighty pissed at Cheika for not winning the Bledisloe Cup.

I was sure that link would have taken me to Corey Bernadi's web page where one may purchase his fine books.

So how does Carmichael come out today and say that Graham previously had too many responsibilities while at the same stage appointing him as both Head and Defensive coaches?

And I'm pretty sure they were spinning the same lines about "making sure we get things right" 12 months ago when the "recognising our responsibility" worst tag line in history was unveiled.

Actually, the CEO's message in the 2015 season guide says "In 2015, we are single minded in ensuring that we are again regarded as a Championship-winning organisation in every possible measure".

Well the only measures they can currently be regarded as champions at are spinning bullshit and pissing off their fan base.

And here we are set to do it all again in 2016.

I think gel a while ago posted a wonderful 2014-dated statement from Carmichael wherein he said something like "we (QRU and RG) will be judged on how well we come out of the gate in the very first game of 2015, just for sure judge us on that".

We all know just how well that went.

To be a bit more cunning about it Carmichael should have his media guys only issue these multiple predictions of glorious Reds' futures with a "....(fill in actual year date space later on for some future year at the end of each season when we know how many years forward we can safely predict so no one will ever remember which year the claim applied to)...."

On a serious note, with all this blather from the QRU - and with zero integrity in not relating today's statements to what they promised we fans/members only very recently - one can only conclude the QRU has absolutely no genuine care for fans nor does it possess an ounce of a sense of accountability and responsibility.

As many here have already said, this revealed state of affairs is actually deeply worrying in its strategic implications for the health of QLD rugby as a whole, let alone the Reds.

So an international search found that Richard Graham with about a 20 percent win ratio was the best Available coach.. Not only that it's the most unpopular choice for fans.. Outstanding QRU you're doing your part to destroy rugby in Australia.. At least I Can be guaranteed another 10 points for the Brumbies next year..

I still find this as offensive as when it was leveled at me over my criticism of the Tahs and NSWRU. Funny how time has proved me right.

I am just as offended by your comment as I know some of those regular posters you deride and you couldn't get a more committed bunch of rugby tragics. These blokes support the game for the game, and whilst attached to the Reds emotionally they aren't blind to what is happening.

As for supporting the players, expressing any support for failed coaching and structures is actually condemning those players to lost years in their careers as they do not receive the professional tuition they need to achieve to their potential.

Well theres an entry from the sidelines that even Messam would be proud of.
I suggest you reread my posts and maybe you will see that they were largely tongue in cheek.
I apologise if there was any offence taken and I will be less subtle next time, maybe even with a little winky emoticon ;) .
I will say however that your assertion that supporting a team in a coaching crisis is analogous to condemning those players to lost years is pretty tenuous. Best not to overthink ones importance and influence sometimes.
I'm sure the players who did laps of the field at Suncorp applauding the few thousand fans who showed up to watch repeated losses in the doldrums of 08/09 were not secretly pissed at everyone for retarding their careers.

I am planning to write to the Reds about my situation.

I have been a long term supporter through the good and bad times. I had never purchased a membership due to working shift work and not being available for many live games.

When my daughter was born 18 months ago I bought a membership in her name with a plan to make her life long fan. I did not purchase a membership in my name as I planned to get a full ticketed membership for myself and keep her kids membership for 2016 as she will be 2 at the start of the season and think this is an age that I could take her to a game and she might show some interest.

I will not be getting a ticketed membership after the reappointment of Graham as coach as I do not want to watch a team coached by a man with such a poor percentage of wins. Before the season even starts I will be looking at the draw and wondering if we will even win a game at our former fortress.

I will retain my children's membership for my daughter and hope she becomes a rugby fan and supports the Reds but once she is able to decide by herself may stop this membership.

This is a couple of years away but if her normality in rugby is supporting a team that loses far more than it wins then it is hard to see her wanting to support the Reds.

I hope the board wonders why is a team capable of supplying players who represent their country but cant win at Super Rugby level. This suggests it may be a coaching issue. Injuries do play a part but we still had a lot of wallabies on the field all season who were not up to standard.

Luckily for the Reds they will not be losing my membership, but they have lost a potential membership.

Just for shits and giggles, I have been trying to think of a similar situation that could happen in another job/industry/ whatever and I can't.

It's just staggering.

So let me get this straight, 2014 he was rubbish because it wasn't the team he wanted ? 2015 was rubbish because he didn't have the support he needed.. 2016 .. any bets on the excuse this year ?

I just seen this online.. oh dear

If those two items are to scale, the noose looks about right to put your nuts in. Reds Advanced Vasectomy Kit.

Ah yes Mr Bloggs, your surgery is quite complex so we have searched globally for the very best surgeon and found that he was in fact the head of surgery at this very hospital. Now he does have a mortality rate of 75% but rest assured that he has a new manager and his only measure of success is how he performs moving forward. Good luck old chap!

So Dan Herbert is coming in, in a role similar to Pat Howard, to help out Richard Graham.

Were those 3 all in the same year at Ashgrove?

They could go far with the ARU HQ then. Similar criteria - Stay close to home after an advertised "world wide search".

So let go Tahs fans, need a crash course on being a Warraths fanatic.

Your last two years have been the equivalent of a crash course in Waratah Supporting 101, Waratah Victory Expectation 201 and Waratah Disappointment 202.

You are well on the road to your Diploma of Waratahness through Recognition of Prior Learning. Not long before you qualify for the much sought after Bachelor of Australian Rugby Supporting.
