Cant see the Wallabies losing this one. Nearly all of the last 10 tests between the sides have been very close, but the wallabies have clearly shown that they have a slight edge on the welsh. Unless the team is at full strength, its unlikely they'll be able to steal this. They'll certainly go close though.

I wouldn't be fiddling with the side too much. I agree Cheika could rotate the front rowers and I don't think he's lose anything there.

Mitchell in for Horne and Beale in for Folau. Otherwise the team should stay as is.

Every game from here should be treated like a final. We need to let the combinations develop and let the best players find form.

Wales will be playing with as full strength a team they can find to put out. Can't see Goathland not going for a win no matter how big the odds are. Hopefully the wobbles are over confident and not 100% focused. Might keep us in the game until the latter stages of the game and then who knows. Any more wins from here on in is a bonus for Wales considering the disruption that the injuries are giving us. A win will see a far easier trip to the final so both teams I expect to be going in determined.

Id keep most of the uninjured players but maybe swap in a few to freshen some guys up.

Slipper for Sio
Kepu for Holmes
McCalman for Pocock
To'omua for Giteau only if injured
Mitchell for Horne
Beale for Folau

I definitely wouldn't change Moore, Douglas, Simmons, Genia, Foley, Kuridrani. Some because they are in key play making positions some because they are still getting better with more game time.

Let's not fuck around too much at this point:

1 Sio
2 Moore (lineout throwing needs work)
3 Kepu
4 Simmons
5 Douglas
6 Fardy
7 Pocock - assume Hooper is cited and 2 weeks
8 McCalman
9 Genia
10 Foley
11 Mitchell
12 Giteau
13 Kuridrani - attack needs work
14 AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
15 Folau - assuming ankle alright

16 Hanson - match fitness + Reds replacement front row
17 Slipper
18 Holmes
19 Mumm
20 McMahon
21 Phipps
22 To'omua
23 Beale

Putting Chibba in there is a little controversial, but TPN had a full game against Uruguay and some hard work this morning, so let's get Hanson some miles in the legs.

1 Sio
2 Moore
3 Kepu
4 Simmons
5 Douglas
6 Fardy
7 McMahon
8 Pocock/Hooper
9 Genia
10 Foley
11 Mitchell/Speight
12 To'omua (Give Gits a rest - he's an old man after all)
13 Kuridrani
14 AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
15 Folau

16 Hanson
17 Slipper
18 Holmes
19 Mumm
20 McCalman
21 Phipps
22 Cooper - needs to build confidence otherwise is Foley goes down we are screwed
23 Beale

Gits drops off the 23, he's been bashed and needs a rest.. McMahon gets a well deserved start - rest one of Poey/Hooper.

Subbs to come on early this game.

Can't keep up the pretence. Of course Wales will be full strength. But not for the reasons given. Because ch is ch. he wants a win against Australia more than he wants to beat anyone. So many games blown in last few secs. He wants this at least until 60th minute.

Getting a little tired of the injuries being used to divert attention. Yes we've lost a truckload of centres but that's about all. Sanjay is as good or better than 1/2p in broken play and biggar has been flawless

I think it is a no brainer, even among the more eccentric correspondents on Gwlad. Nine days off leading into the game as well and, in all honesty, you have your 23 man squad and that really is it. After watching the Scottish B team run SA fairly close yesterday I don't think they will scare Wales or Aussie but NZ unless France knock them out, of course!?!? certainly will.
You think Scotland were ever in that game with sa?

I think I'd actually prefer a route to final involving Sh heavyweights than meeting Ireland again in semis. I'd be happy to send Australia your way

They weren't from the second Cotter announced his side, but I thought SA were laboured. I would fancy Wales or Ireland to beat SA.
