Heavy odds against the Argies in this one. About 3.20 to 1. I wonder if Sportsbet know something we don't.

Maybe because Australia has won the World Cup 2 times, is the only side that beat the ABs this year and Argentina has never beat a SANZAR nation in a World Cup

Also we beat Argentina 34-9 in Mendoza on the way to winning the RC, and have already beaten England and Wales in this tournament. The bookies aren't as neurotic as Wallaby supporters.

Now that our set piece has improved we have the organization to get over the top of them most of the time. Cheika will have a pretty definite style of game that we need to play.
However, they have looked to be playing wider in this RWC and are very quick to counter. We will need to keep an eye on that.
Mitchell or Horne would be suitable on the wing, with Mitchell retaining his spot if there is any question over Folau.

Can anyone make sense of the pink singlets the boys wear at training?

It seems that some days you can clearly see that the two distinct squads are identified by the singlets whereas other times, like today, the combinations don't make sense with what we have been seeing on match day.
I would love to know what the letter(s) on the singlets mean also......is this a random thing or is there some sort of code to decipher what is what?

Argentina by 3. Wallaby fans to claim moral victory scoring 2 tries to 1 but ill discipline will cost them many points.

Yep, discipline will be key. Especially if Sanchez has his kicking boots on. He was kicking pretty good in the QF.

That's been the killer in all the Wallabies games - they've let teams in the door through poor discipline in their own half.

Bookies only set the opening odds, everything that happens after that reflects where the punters are sticking their $$$$. Example: last Saturday AB were paying ~$1.30 then next time I checked $1.15 as in the meantime someone had stuck $180K on them.

The days of actual people taking team announcements, injury reports/ rumours etc into account are long gone, now all they do is keep feeding the bets into the algorithm & it tells them what the new odds are.

It's just because they train with combos other than the starting XV. So they'd swap the singlets around a bit. At the closed session they no doubt train mostly with the starters.

7 is obvious, PM is playmaker, all the tall timber seem to wear SS but no idea what it means!

Pocock and Sio only did recovery training again, Folau has a run with the team but only for 10 then went back to recovery training as well.

Fun fact: apparently Cheika was close to signing as Los Pumas head coach just before Link resigned.

Fatigue has well and truly set in and I wouldn't be confident with the same starting XV this week, I'd prefer to see some of our finishers start.

1. Slipper*
2. Moore
3. Kepu
4. Douglas
5. Simmons
6. Fardy
7. Pocock*
8. McCalman*
9. Genia
10. Foley
11. Folau*
12. To'omua*
13. Kuridrani
14. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
15. Beale*

- I'm assuming Sio is out

- McCalman retains his spot as I was impressed with his strong carries which will play a big part in a SF when things become much tighter (bring it home with the pooper)

- Pocock back to 7

- Giteau has been a lot better than I thought he would be, however if you were to pick a team vs the Allblacks now would you have him marking Nonu? I wouldn't, let's cut the crap and pick To'omua and Giteau can play that Bench impact role like Catt did for the poms

- We have looked our most dangerous when Beale is working with Foley and he provides that extra ball player rendering Giteau surplus to requirements.

The try against England was superb and we were blessed with Horne leaving the field.

The other play that impressed me was when Beale kicked in the dying stages of the Scotland game. Smart kick to the corner ended with a net gain, which was even smarter considering how tired the team was.

- Which brings me to Folau this World Cup we have seen some of his weaknesses badly exposed primarily his catch pass (bombed try vs England sticks out) where with Beale it comes more naturally (refer last cut out pass vs Scotland).

Folau to the wing will bring into play the cross field kick, which for mine, hasn't been used nearly enough. The problem is setting up for it and when tried vs the poms and Argies it seemed all too rushed where if he was already out on the wing it would be much easier to setup for.

I feel so much better I got that off my chest, does anyone have Cheika's number?

So if Folau and pocock out and we struggled to beat Scotland - what do we change as to go in with same players and bench makes me nervous - or was just our strategy wrong for last game and that needs to change

Pococks absence is one most concerned about

S**TBALLS......that is not good news at all. I am now wondering if we aren't going to see the same team, bench included, as we saw last week now?

Kurtley is in great form so we can cover Izzy for the most part but Poey is another story. Hoops need to step up and get his pilfer back on big time. The temptation for Cheika may be to keep QC (Quade Cooper) on the bench as back-up should we need to chase this one down with 15 to go.

The tight 5 need to lift for this one. Everything else depends on them getting dominance at the ruck and in the set piece. Doesn't matter who's in what jersey, if we win up front we will win on the scoreboard.
Cheika said as much when he blamed himself for the lesser intensity last week. Also, the dependency on Pocock at the breakdown would have been addressed.

We just didn't play well. Too many unforced errors. We should have won that game comfortably and didn't.

Clearly missing Pocock again will be a huge loss because he's pretty much our best player. There's no reason the rest of the team can't get the job done though.

Quite a lot of them are American Football abbreviations. Safety, Strong Safety, and Running Back.

The PM and H don't fit with that though. Playmaker seems to make sense for PM though.

Those are the only 5 shirts I've seen. Not sure if there are others.
