Spiro Zavos is the worst rugby writer i have ever read. Even Matt Burke is better and the man writes like he's had one too many concussions.

The internet, believe it or not exists in WA. That is how we are currently conversing. The internet allows us in WA to access all sorts of Media articles and their replys. Recently the balance has shifted towards keeping the 5 teams. Previously it has been in favour of cutting a team or moving the Force to Western Sydney. Obviously this does not reflect the individual opinions of all 5 million or so Sydney siders. But the source of the speculation is the constant here, with little rebuttal by those pushing their agendas. I could bring up in detail Mr Growdens role in the Al Kanaar coffee with a Force official "scandal" that resulted in the Force being fined $110 000, a fine that had no precedent and has not been seen since, but thats for other threads.
Being a match thread forum though, i would expect banter would be allowed, even if not understood by all. Banter on fine people.

I guarantee rugby people in NSW dislike Spiro and Grumbles more than you do.

We've been hating on them for far longer than they were available on the internet.

Don't try and steal our mantle.

because a couple of media pundits is entirely representative of a state

Nope. The SRU mouth pieces polish it off quite nicely. And the siccophantic coverage from the Sydney press that follows those mouths.

NSW rugby could do an aweful lot to present more favourably to the rest of Aus.

Anyhoo, it didnt stop me supporting the Tahs when they won the final (awesome Austalian rugby moment, I was screaming "NSW NSW NSW NSW NSW" at the tellie). And I'm dissappointed that they are not at strength this weekend, I'd love for the Tahs to shake the Sharks.

But in Super my second team is Bulls who I would back over Tahs. And be conflicted with any other Aus franchise.

Its all in good fun, just a bit of banter.

Its not that hard to imagine though considering NSWs long, media led campaign to abolish the Force. Greg Growden, Spiro Zavos, Ms Robinson, Mr Payten are to thank.

Why do you take the opinions of the media over the opinions of the actual punters?

One of my favourite Super Rugby moments is when Tom Carter showboated in the final play of the game vs the reds as he thought that the game was locked up and a reds player cut through (his channel?) to score the match winning try.

Very amusing

Turning back to the actual game. Did anyone else notice a distinct lack of motivation against the Lions. No one seemed amped up, didn't seem to be much communication. Even Hooper lacked energy.

Skelton out - FFS

Thought he was OK - Now I think the Sharks will flog the Tahs.

Tight 5 will get smashed (again) this week

Someone told me every bloke in Sydney wears Ralph Lauren Polo shirts.

Ones in the West are not ironed and ones from the East are always dry-cleaned and collected by Maids, in Mercedes, BMW's or Audi's.:)

Someone has told you a load of crap.

The East/West divide is where the transition from Ralph Lauren to Tommy Hilfiger polo shirts is apparent. ;)

Pass it to Dunning!

In fairness, Greg Growden has called for the abolition of everything but the Shute Shield.

10 mins gone phibbs has had 2 box kicks charged down, how can anyone justify his position in the team??

Thought it was also a harsh decision by the ref to call up play when he did for the Dempsey yellow. 100% a card but he obviously didn't see the incident himself as he called it way too late so he was relying on his touch judge. Tahs were on the break and a pretty decent chance of scoring, would've been a terrible decision had the ref called up play and it turned out there was no foul play at all

Phibbs two runs from the ruck, got smashed both times. Then threw a bullet pass to a guy 3m away from him, tah drops the ball sharks with a run away try

WOuld have been unfair had a try been scored if the ref and touch-judge were correct, which they were. Always more than one way of looking at things.
