I agree with you but IMO it has been other factors not only his football performances (that have also impacted upon his on-field performance)

Why don't we list who is superior in every major category of a flyhalf?

Passing: Quade
Running: Foley
Kicking: Foley
Defence & Tackling: Foley
Playmaking: Quade

Add in anymore categories you can think of

Maybe have a category of forward passes : Quade would win that one

I also tend to nowdays dispute Quades once unquestionable playmaking ability over Foleys

I think since around 2013 Foley has been a very strong playmaker.

He throws a good long cut out and is very dangerous with inside balls.

Its just not as flowery as Quades and doesn't look as good / get as much attention.

Quades basically stuck together with sticky tape these days, whereas Foley is one head knock away from retirement.

Not sure how you want to categorise those but we probably need some other viable options too.....

Well you may have Jake back on the bench next week as I've heard Stewart is off to the JWC in Georgia on Monday.

Thanks scoop! ;)

He was named in the team (alongside Izaia Perese) about a week or so ago.

I've heard from people involved in the Aus U20s set-up that the Super Rugby teams can decide to keep the player around if they want, even after the squad is named.

Apparently the Aus 20s are still sweating on a couple of already named players.

that would surprise me. I wouldn't imagine they'd name the team unless they had consulted with the teams about availability.

By kicking, you must mean shots at goal. Foley's out of hand kicking is abysmal. His failures to find touch from penalties directly contributed to points against the Wallabies, especially against the poms. Whilst Cooper also misses touch, he at least does it less often and gets more distance.

There is no way Foley is the best 10 by far. He might be slightly better and might have less overall flaws, but this does not mean is the best by far.

Which year of form are you using for Cooper?

I'd say he is further away from being the first choice Wallaby 10 than at any other point in his career.
