Fantastic day at Boondall yesterday, beautiful weather combined with very spirited rugby all e season. Terrific to see the competition so close, I predict a bolter will win the comp, green and black may give a hint.

There is only one way I can see BBC winning the Comp -that is :
TSS falls over ,and BBC get their Qld 1 number 6 back on park and none of their 6 other Qld reps gets injured(especially 5 and 10) and are available round 4 v TSSS>.
Otherwise it's last 2-3 years again.

I don't really care what school went to and I would have no clue if that is correct or not but there is a lot of false stuff on Wikipedia that people easily get wrong

BBC 10 was very calm. I thought he controlled the game well. Things looked like IGS were coming back in the start of the 2nd half but 10 sent them back to the safety zone every time it looked dangerous and took defensive pressure off his pack. He is a future talent if he can gain a bit more meat on him. BBC back three were tireless both in defence & attack. BBC backs are very small to look at but fear is not on their vocabulary by what I saw. It's only early days so I'm not predicting anything. Good stuff though BBC !,

GT robbed, all crowd noise, cant hear any noise on the replay or live, Rohan Hoffman is arrogant and disrespects the game and he wants to decide who should win rather then letting the game pan out.

P
GD, pull your head in!
For 10 minutes in the first half it was 15 vs 13 and then lead 31-18 up to the 60th minute. If they couldn't seal the deal with these odds, they didn't deserve to win. GT did everything to lose the game and NC did everything to win the game! And leave the ref out of it..doesn't matter how much you whinge, it isn't going to change anything.

Want to rethink that one? I don't like Rohan at all, not even slightly. The way he talks to the kids grates me, and I question his judgement over the third card against Nudgee. There's a reason he's no longer a Super Rugby referee.

However, you can clearly hear at least 1 Terrace boy yell during the kick, so unfortunately for Terrace they have to cop that one no matter how unfair it seems.

Here's the link time stamped:

I'd have thought Terrace had a better argument against the penalty he blew at the turnover before the try. I rewatched it a few times and I can't see what Rohan sees at all.

I think more than one; the scream of the banshee's may be more appropriate. Added to that the jeering of the crowd was enough for me; ahh a bit of justice. I think that's 2 from 17, maybe next year.

Agree with the play before could of easily gone either way. Very lucky as was nc; but I'm sure there were a number of decisions like that on the day. GT got the rub of the green from the ref. I.e. How do u get a penalty try when u score a try?

Battle of the 15A heavy weights with BBC 39 def IGS 17.

Great footage thanks Tashara - is that the first time this BBC team has beaten IGS and has the IGS team ever been beaten in 13 or 14??

Some great footballers there in both sides

2015 U13: BBC 14 - IGS 60 (IGS undefeated Premiers) (BBC 3rd)
2016 U14: BBC 12 - IGS 34 (IGS lost one game to BSHS 12-15) (BBC 3rd)

Agree... both teams have talent to burn. This was always going to be a big game for these two teams and they'll be hard to beat for the remainder of the season.

Harry Wilson stood out for you? I'm in no doubt he's an excellent player, but I didn't think he was great against NC. I thought Cayle Manu (NC #4) outplayed him.

wow - I am very impressed with the standard of these 2 teams. How good are the goalkickers -? but something else stands out.
The BBC 15A backline is bigger than their 1st xv backline !

The 5 for GT was a standout on and off the ball and was clearly one of the best players on the park for his leadership and rugby knowledge. the 4 (Manu) for Nudgee was also very good but 2 totally different players. The 4 for nudgee got carded also for a brain explosion that was clearly a silly moment but he came back on and played very strong. The round one clash was a great spectacle one of the better GT v NC games I have bare witness to over the many years of watching.
Standouts for me was
GT - 5, 3 and 9
NC - 11, 6 and 12

TS I'm not sure if you know who HW is or look like? Dble Take commenatators absolutely 'stuffed' up a number of the players names including Wilson being called Jacob Stocker throughout the whole game. Im 99% sure HW wears the head gearg and was the #5 for GT.
As for #4 Manu outplaying HW really?? Again Ethan Bullemor (#6 NC) another one who was often confused by commentators was actually playing lock most of the time and Manu on the side of scrum.

"In the team list Nudgee provided the commentary team, Ryan Shepherd (11) and Jangala Bennett (14) were the wings with Dan Atkinson the fullback."
As per my comment above KING, there were many players who were called someone else. . .throughout the NC vs GT game.

For Troysnowden and Dble take commentators. This is GT lock #5 Harry Wilson.NOT James Stocker.

This is Ethan Bullemor #6 NOT MANU
