There is only one bar outside the stadium which will probably be packed. Normally they have a temporary bar set up for big games like the Bledisloe which will presumably be open.

Alternatively just drink at a pub in Strathfield near the station (I think there are two right opposite it) and then jump on the train.

We are rank outsiders for sure. I hope to see our boys get stuck in and be competitive till the end.
Its a good looking AIG side, as always. Very tough to beat or to even stay with.

Yeah, gorge yourself on great Korean food then beers near the station.

There is no benefit in being near the black hole of fun that is Homebush for any longer than necessary

There's also a Korean BBQ that was tasty about 8 years ago. Just don't drink too much and burn yourself.

Hahah saying there's a Korean BBQ in Strathfield is understatement of the century ;)

Addit - try the Strathfield Sports Club for beers and pretty decent Korean Fried Chicken.

I'm not convinced in KB (Kurtley Beale) at 12. Having said that, I haven't seen how he has been playing overseas, so it might go alright if he's been playing well in that position for a season.

David Lord mistakenly submitted his penthouse forum letter about the Kurtley/SBW clash to TheRoar yesterday :( . Fairly short story, probably to account for the one hand typing.

I am pretty happy about the rest of the back line though.

I don't think that is where the match is really going to pan out anyway. Across every position, the ABs are ahead of us, I think.

I'm not getting inspired by the build up to this match like I have in the past.

It's being strongly hinted that Franks may get subbed at half time if his dodgy Achilles lasts that long. If Ofa T has to play more than 25-30 I'd say Wobs may win a few scrum penalties esp with Barnes reffing.

AB bench not quite the weapon it was (Ardie excepted) so AB will want to be well up before making too many subs.

Crockett has been one our best impact players over he last two years. If TJP can keep his emotions in check he is very good. Romano has been a key bench player since he lost his starting spot to Retallick. Lima and Ofa are the real unknowns in what they can offer off the pine.

If there are any Western Force supporters still interested in this match, (and I hope there are many), I would like you to know that that when Mrs D and I sit down to watch the match tonight, Mrs D will be wearing one of her Wallabies jerseys, I shall be wearing my 1999 jersey, complemented by my white Western Force cap, purchased from the WF retail outlet at a shopping centre near the WF then training facility at Perry Park, Perth, in late 2005.
Next to us will be the blue WF T shirt which I bought with the cap, which sadly, no longer is a comfortable fit, (probably due to 'product shrinkage')!!!

BTW, embroidered on the back of the cap are the words: "Super 14 kicks off 02.06"..... I'm sure many WA Rugby fans long for those days to return.
