spot on. Although we are Sydney-based that silence was what put us off Waratah games. The Canberra fans were always very vocal which is fun. But now given the choice between a rock concert in Canberra or a theatre performance in Sydney, I think I’d take the theatre every time!
Absolutely not. One thing we always loved at Brumbies games is the engagement of the fans - we always left games hoarse from shouting. Now everyone just sits like a stunned mullet.
I like rugby games, I don’t like rock concerts. Why can’t we have one without the other?
This is nothing to do with the rugby, but I have just emailed the Brumbies to tell them that we will not be renewing our memberships next year if they continue to play very loud music during the breaks in play (and sometimes during play). It makes conversation impossible and it is noticeable...
I really liked what Jake White did with the Brumbies but I'm not sure that Jakeball would be a viable strategy under the new laws.
It is so easy to retain possession for extended phases that kicking the ball is almost criminal.
I have not been paying close attention for a while so I may have missed this. What is the position with the expected availability of injured players for the remainder of the Super Rugby?
I assume Pocock will now be unavailable, but are we likely to see Tomane, To'omua Speight and Carter again...
My first reaction to the announcement of Moore's departure was great disappointment but on reflection I am not really concerned. I have great respect for him as a player and a gentleman and the Brumbies are fortunate to have had his services for several years.
As wamberal says, if Moore wants...
I see that Rod Iona has been named in the Australian Barbarians squad which is supposedly composed of players with no Super 15 contract of any kind (incl EPS).
That suggests that he is no longer in the Brumbies squad.
It's been said before, and clearly it's not going to happen now, but I
think it's a pity Coleman didn't try switching to 9. He has all the right attributes for a great scrum half.
