Moving swiftly along, I think early signs say:

1. Shore
2. Ignatius
3. King's
4. Newington
5. St Joseph's
6. Scots
7. Grammar
8. SBHS

Should be a real battle between Shore and Ignatius, after that should be a good gap.

I don't see how predictions can put Grammar at 7 after beating High, Scots and Newington this year, with half the crew returning again (current year 11) and standouts in the Year 10 1st VIII, as well as one or two in the 2nd VIII. If the same training intensity is matched next year as it was this year Grammar will be looking to get Scots and Newington again. It may take some time and not occur until the back end of the season, but there's no reason it can't happen.

Anyone have any predictions on the 2025 Kings first VIII crew

Predicted crew for 2025 Kings

Stroke: Luke Fleet - Year 12 2025 (2nd 8 winner 2024)

7: Will Farrah - Year 12 2025 (Only year 11 boy in 1st 8 2024, 3 seat, nationals champion).

6: Lachlan Tindal - Year 11 2025 (2nd in Aus under 17 Skull, 2nd 8 winner 2024)

5: Isaac Fonua - Year 12 2025 (3rd 4 winners with no training, rumour has that will come back to shed to make 1 8 next year)

4: Harry Bodman - Year 12 2025 (New from Canberra Grammar in 2024, 1st 4)

3: Hamish Matthews - Year 11 2025 ( 5 Seat 1st Jnr 8 2024)

2: Nick Platis - Year 11 2025 (Stroke 1st jnr 8 2024)

Bow : Lachlan Rogers - Year 11 2025 (7 Seat 1st Junior 8 2024)

Cox: No idea

Let me know your thoughts, quite a promising crew if i say so myself. Definitely think shore and view to be favourites after a strong finish of the 2024 season but wouldn't be writing off Kings.

Would also like to see a predicted Shore and View 8's.

This prediction is solid, but Farrah and Fonua might choose Rugby over rowing.

What coaching changes does everyone predict?! Those Kings crews look pretty good. A few massive units in the Yr10 8 that could get a good run!!

In the grand slams from shore, is there any record regarding if all the Junior VIIIs won as well? That would be something truly incredible, but not surprising from Shore...
No school has ever won every single event including Junior VIII’s at a HOTR, the closest is 2 losses from Shore in 2016, and Ignatius in 2023.
