Im now slightly more against him because "GetUp!" has gotten behind him....
I hate "GetUp!"
Agreed. They present a facade of being fairly impartial, but its not hard to see whose side they are on.

Why did the women go the police if they thought they were at risk of HIV/AIDS or any other STI? Surely they should have gotten medical advice: had blood tests and been put on an immediate course of medication to cut the chances of them getting HIV/AIDS? In those circumstances you don't wait around for someone else to get blood tests, you get them yourself.
This morning's leaks are very interesting: Rudd saying that Afghanistan is hopeless. You could take 2 approaches:
1. No big deal, showing a bit of bravado in public but being privately worried.
OR
2. Our Prime Minister lying to the public about the progress in the war.
I go with point 2, because in a democracy, we're supposed to know this kind of thing. I don't think the blanket alibi "diplomacy" gives your government carte blanche to consistently lie to their public, which is emerging as the standard operating procedure of western democracies.
Yeah, someone needs to expose our current set of politicians. What's more, the Oppositions' silence (apart from Malcom Turnball, who wrote a good op-ed for the SMH) is deafening.
Meanwhile, our lovely government keeps on claiming WikiLeaks is "illegal", and somehow claims it is different from other publishers. I feel for Assange, his own government is betraying him, yet he still has popular support within his own country. Democracy?

Our goverment is gutless and turning more and more into America's drooling little lapdog.
This is a real test for Joolia and as with most things she is failing miserably.
To inject a bit of levity into this story, check out where parts of Wikileaks are hosted:
