I usually do that but have put Adriaan Strauss in as he is listed as a prop.

Genia averages 13 points more a game. That adds up over the long haul if you can pick the right cheapie in the other position.

Fantasy is all about knowing where your bread is buttered. Its all about back row, inside backs and outside backs. The rest is trivia. The difference between FDP and Genia will be minimal- 10-20 points at most. But with the extra cash you can pull in a guy like Hosea Gear at the back, who could well score 30 or 40 points more than a cheaper alternative. Or David Pocock in the back row for that matter.

For the tight five I just buy the cheapest players I can who are starting that weekend- they won't have a star next to their name at the end of the round, but with good game time they shouldn't be too far behind even if they do nothing special. I reckon the value pick this week is Reddish from the Canes- starting at 6, listed at lock on Foxsports and only $75K. Yes please.

Same with Jack Lam on the other side of the scrum starting at #7 @ $75k too

The info on Fox seems to be updated very slowly. The only backrower listed as injured is the invisible man but Palu is definitely out. There's a couple of other injured players from other categories who are not tagged too (that I found earlier). Can anyone explain how it works as I've already had to make several changes due to injury that are not up on the indicator?

Worked it out

As a virgin at this, been struggling to fit in what I want. Can anyone tell me what the value means? eg Matfield's value is 38 and his price is $275, Sharpie is 8 but he costs $325???

Check out what you are sorting the players under. Default at the moment is percentage picked (I think).
The $ value is based on last year and perceived form for this year.
