The information I provided pages back came from the former Director of Sport at TSC.
His experience was that due to the Schools policy of the staff taking one semester of sport, many flocked to basketball and hence staff were short on the ground in winter. Hence, the School employed a number of rugby coaches from the ACPE Elite Coach program for BOTH the Junior and senior rugby programs.

As I have said many times in the past I am happy to be proven wrong with facts.

Then when this is all done, can we please get back to the rugby and normal nonsense we enjoy.

Yeah the word is former. We know who he is and why he left. Scots don't over pay as I know many of the coaches and head of performance. One such member left last year as he could earn significantly more in the corporate world. Anyway back to rugby.

Given that he barely played a game for Kings last year and hasn't played for them yet this year, I can't see them playing him in a trial game.

I thought his paymasters at the Bunnies have nixed him playing rugby while he's on contract with them - limiting him to SGBall or whatever that mungo comp is called.

SG Ball and all the other junior league rep competitions were cancelled back in March, so that isn't the answer.

I had heard several weeks ago, from a Kings insider that He won’t play. The same person said that he now might play against Scots. So it will be interesting to see if he is on the field this afternoon. That said, if I was coaching the Kings 1st XV then I would politely explain to him that he is either in the team or not so he needs to make a decision. If I was the headmaster I would explain that if he is attending the school then the school teams have primacy over all other teams.

You will find most headmasters feel the same way. The issue is that this fella turned up with huge wraps on him with the TKS magisterium thinking he would fall into line like all good Kings men. Then came the buckets of money. Previous to this, clubs would park players in GPS schools for a couple of years (pay they fees, boy would play for the school only) and in return the player would sign an agreement that he would play for the club for at least two years after year 12. Newington benefited from this system not long ago. The boys though did play for the school and the clubs never pressured them to play Sunday league.

Now we have a situation were a school allowed their player to play Sunday league. It seems Souths now want him to play exclusively with them and forgo school commitments. In future I am sure ALL GPS school heads will think twice before "investing" in talent that has the tinge of league.
