Cor rect but Wilkins is a huge loss as he was to mark the GT star 13

Don't think its that big an issue in the backs Digby - wilkins will be missed, but I think the back line functions better with Bowen at 10 and Russell in the centres - defensively as well. Bowen - Horan will be a great clash. Bronson will be missed, but Gunter is more than capable - watch for BenRoy to pick up from where he left off last week.

GT very deserved winners at Tennyson this afternoon. BBC never really got going and I sat there waiting for them to click and it just didn't happen.

GT compete at the ruck very strongly and should be feared by future oponents in the GPS

The Churchie tie was one of the most extraordinary comebacks as TSS dominated virtually every facet of play, possession and territory and had a big HT lead. Churchie showed massive character in the final 20 mins and somehow, amazingly, found a way to tie the game. Nucifora made the clutch conversion at the death to seal the tie.

TSS was markedly physically bigger in most positions, and possessed excellent skills, intensity and accuracy of defence, and structured attack patterns. A side that knows how to dominate a game.

So: ACGS draw TSS 24-24
GT d BBC 35-22
NC d BSHS 55-0
IGS d BGS 26-22
Which means the ladder, in terms of losses, looks like:
1. NC/GT (1 loss)
3. TSS (1 loss, 1 draw)
4. BBC (2 losses)
5. ACGS (2 losses, 1 draw)
6. BSHS/TGS/IGS/BGS (3 losses)

All the GT sides I saw today were very good at the breakdown. They have obviously been well coached in this facet. The refs also seemed reluctant to ping them when they "took the space" but BBC were too slow to react in the 1sts.
The yellow carding of Swain in the first half seemed a bit harsh and definitely gave GT a lift. They started well and never stopped.
Think BBC will rue not taking them on more in the forwards! BBC also pushed too many passes when they got in behind GT but maybe that was due to GT dominating the breakdown. Think the try count was even but Horans kicking was far better than a surprisingly off Bowyer.

GT/NC next week will be a big one

Well done to Gregory Terrace First XV today - they out-enthused, out-hustled and out-played BBC in all departments, and looked as though they wanted it so much more.
A good day all round with the spoils shared - BBC in the 14As, 15As, 16As and Seconds, GT in the Firsts and 13s.
Congrats to the BBC 14As holding on against the previously undefeated GT team - it is a pity that the game was overshadowed by the deplorable behavior of the Gregory Terrace spectators and parents . Continual harassment of the referee, abusing and cajoling her, and calling the BBC boys , amongst other things, "spearchuckers", completely spoiled the enjoyment of the game for all around. Given an example like that, it shouldn't have been a surprise to hear some of the students use the same term as the BBC First XV ran on to the field - they should hang their heads in shame !

Agree. Terrace defence, ball retention and work at the breakdown won the day. The defence in particular was strong. If the yellow card was harsh then the penalty try given BBC was even more so. Once behind BBC looked panicky and never got into the game. The service to the BBC backs was poor. In comparison GT had a strong go forward from eager forward runners and plenty of pace outwide. They played with lot of belief in each other and will give NC and the remaining games a big chance
