Outclassed across all grades. Every team went down by double digits (except the woman who got the chocolates)
Ah we like chocolates! Not a bad game. Thought Brothers, like the previous weeks, didn't take all their opportunities, drop the ball when they shouldn't of, but other than that they are playing fairly well. I thought the score actually "flattered" Wests as two of their tries were from mistakes/intercepts, whilst Brothers "bombed" at least 2 tries. Both teams have reasonably good set pieces, however the main game (imo) is still Jeeps whom are way ahead at this stage. Better start to the year for both Wests and Brothers at this stage (better than last year!).
Jeeps completely "bashed" Bond, whom are a reasonably good team. The Bond 12 had a serious injury, a player whom I have watched for the last few weeks and one that I would rate highly in the comp. With him gone and the 2 losses to date, I'm willing to say Bond won't be in the top 4 this year. Uq were very loose against a gallant Souths and they won't want to be "bleeding" that many points particularly against teams like Jeeps, Easts and Brothers; or else they may be at the wrong end of a cricket score.
In second grade Brothers continue on their winning way, very similar to last years effort. Looks like Souths, Easts and possibly Jeeps/Wests will be the main protagonist in that grade.
My top 4: 1st grade Jeeps, Easts, Brothers & UQ. Jeeps and Brothers seem to have the greatest depth in the grades, and that usually turns out to be important over the season, particularly at the end of it.
2nd grade Brother, Jeeps, Easts & Souths.
