Very strong QLD 1 side, McMahon moved from 8 to 6 to make room for Timu, entire backrow NC boys. Conor Mitchell (ACGS) bit unlucky to only be in the two's and Sam Greene the 3rd choice 15. Still very strong teams, selectors have done well. QLD I to take national title.

Grant Davies no real surprise, Meehan perhaps lucky, Simon Gregg would have to consider himself unfortunate to not make the cut.

Agree with rugby1768 re the AIC representation. But while Padua College tied for the AIC championship, not one of them is considered in the top 46 schoolboys in the state. In which case, the Padua coaches must be outstanding, and should have been selected to coach one of teams.

Is there a specific reason Curtis Browning and Chris F'Sautiua are in the 2nd side? Out of form, injuries, better players?

Light - me thinks that the selectors have long memories. Last year Ben Meehan went in as Qld 1 halfback and was found wanting, particularly in the game they lost unexpectedly against NSW2 and then was replaced in the starting side by Tomlinson for the last game. He also did not make any of the Aust squads even as a reserve - unusual for Qld 1 half when Qld has dominated the championships over the past 5 years. His selections this year as a reserve and in GPS 2 show they believe he now has to prove himself and it had better than what he offered last year

Curtis and Chris are in QLD 1 , but the taems have been printed in that post as team "2" before team "1". Cheers
