I wouldn’t have him above anyone in our squad.
Backrow has got to be the last position we need more of at this point
Not as good as his frame.
Whats Lolo like in the air? IF the Reds were to sign another backrower - I think it should be a ball running 6/8 who is also a viable lineout option to help cover the loss of Hockings and Rodda. I really like the balance of our backrowers with a core 4 of Wright/Wilson/ASY/McReight but I think there is still room for someone in the mold of LSL to be in the squad. I firmly see LSL as a lock at the moment as well.
EDIT - I'm pretty sure Tuialima from GPS is floating around there and I think he hits those criteria for me.
Again, I just said to have a look.
I’d be surprised if he doesn’t pop up at training, if allowed by Kinetsu.
It’s just logical.
Named on the bench for Friday
Don’t really rate Lolo, I’d prefer going for local depth rather then bringing back in someone like him.
If they really needed an extra backrower for a few games had the spare cash, then Ben Mowen or Curtis Browning are better options.
And. there’s always Radike Samo.
Agreed. He is a physical specimen. I wonder if he is the kind of guy who if Thorne got his hands on could turn him into something more.
Got my tickets for tomorrow night. Can't wait.
Possibly, but then you had Peter Ryan / Laurie Fisher both work with him. I never thought he was bad, just there were others that where better.
I saw on Speights Instagram today that Nigel Ah Wong is training with the Reds. Perhaps they've gotten him as coverage for Speights departure and while Jordan is recovering?
Bloody good player, cant remember why he left the Brumbies.
How did you think our guys went head to head.
Hopefully after COVID-19 and the Rennie becoming coach then the Wallabies can be selected on current form and not on reputation.
For me the better starting player in each position (not allowing for injuries) for this week was-
1 Hoopert over Bell
2 Abel over Paenga-Amosa
3 Tupou over Johnson-Holmes
4 Hanigan over Blyth
5 Salakaia-Loto over Simmons
6 Wright over Swinton
7 McReight over Hooper
8 Wilson over Harris
9 McDermott over Short
10 Harrison over O'Connor
11 Daugunu over Nawaqanitawase
12 Stewart equal to Walton
13 Paisami over Newsome
14 Campbell equal to Ramm
15 Maddocks over Hegarty
Johnson-Holmes and Hooper deserve credit for their performances tonight.
Thought Ramm better than Campbell - later looked better at 15 in the past and would put there ahead of hegarty
I think you are pretty spot on except for James Ramm who made a lot of mistakes in the first half. Reds back rowers were better however Swinton did some good things apart for his penalty count which was excessive.
I liked Swinton too, seems to play pretty hard.
I had Ramm and Campbell equal, probably because neither really stayed in mind after the game.
Surely for the next match we need to shift Campbell to fullback and start CFS on the wing.
If Blyth is out, who is the next lock to get called in?
Who is there?
Ryan Smith & Michael Wood (Is he fit?). Who else?
Separate names with a comma.
