Mutton, I got impression Walsh had turned around to run back the 10,just as Smith got there, if he raised forearm ,it probably just a defensive reaction. I didn't read anything in it at all.

I think the only defensive reaction you could consider is stopping and avoiding contact. He did not do that. Walsh's was an offensive reaction at the very least.
