Quick plug for BOB's 50th anniversary celebrations this weekend vs Iggies. It is also doubling up as a fundraiser and awareness day for the Leukaemia Foundation.

There are going to be plenty of old boys down there celebrating 50 years of BOBs rugby and the 10 year anniversary of the 3 premierships in 2008.

There will also be a focus on fundraising and awareness for the Leukaemia Foundation which is great to see.

Wish I could be there to cheer the boys on.

HeavyB's Div 3 Tips

Newport v Valley - Newport fans shag their sisters in the bath. Valley by 7.
Brothers v St Ives - Shame we aren't playing at Hassell with the post match chookas. Brothers in this hard fought local derby.
Barker v Iggies - Genuinely astounded by Barker's win over HAC having played both teams. In any case, Barker should be winning by plenty in this one. Barker 40+
HAC v Redfield - Wouldn't want to be copping the brunt of the HAC machine this week after a loss. Seems as though Redfield were lucky to escape against Iggies. HAC 20+

Hard to going to be able to judge how some matches will go this week after how particular grounds pull up after last nights downpour. But lets have a crack either way

Div 1
HH v Waverley- Big day for Hunters hosting the Women's Sevens Gala day and an opportunity to try claw back some ground on the club championship ladder. The men from Bondi will be a tough assignment across the board and in 1st grade will have plenty of momentum after knocking off Mosman last weekend. Ill back Waverley to be to clinical against Hunters this weekend
Drummoyne v Knox- This one could go either way but judging off Drummoyne's form the last few weeks it hard not to tip them. Drummoyne in a tight one
Mosman v Petersham- Biggest game of the round in Div 1 with 2 subbies heavy weights battling it out for top spot of Kentwell Cup. Petersham with another good performance last week and Mosman coming off what most thought was a shock loss to Waverley. This should be a cracker again as it was 1st time round. Last time I tipped Petersham so this time ill back Mosman looking to rebound from last week and being at home
Colleagues v Balmain- Balmain season on the line I reckon here a win keeps them well and truly in the hunt for finals a loss puts them further away from the chasing pack. think Colleagues will be too strong here in this one

Div 2
Blue Mountains v Hills- Should be a cracker this game 2 v 4 up at Lapstone which will be freezing. Hills would be filthy after going down to Lindfield last week as would Mountains after dropping points to Epping. 2 teams with plenty to play for but I think mountains with the home ground advantage will get hoe in a tight contest. A lot tighter than last time round when they thrashed them
Forest v St Pats- Match of the Round in Div 2 I reckon here. 2 Big physical forward packs collide at Melwood Oval in what should be a bruising encounter. Pats will be looking to bounce back after a loss after the bell against UNSW last week and Forest looking to rebuild momentum at the back end of the season heading towards finals. Im going to go for an upset here of some sorts with Pats getting the win JUST
Beecroft v UNSW- Bit of a danger game for UNSW here as Beecroft are always better at home. I think Uni should take this one out but be careful especially at a muddy Headen Park. PS that ground will be absolutely cooked even more than it was at the start of the year after the rain
Lindfield v Epping- Hope Epping bring their gumboots to Soldiers Memorial regardless of conditions today it will be soggy tomorrow. Lindfield have their win for the season but its also their Ladies day so they will be fired up looking for back to back victories. Epping coming off 2 fantastic wins against 1st and 2nd will look to really make another statement to the comp with a big win here. Little tip Boppa don't let Lindfield run home towards their crowd in the 2nd half especially on big days

Div 3
Newport v Valley- Pretty big game this in context of finals positions. If Valley want any chance of sneaking into 4th spot they need to win this weekend out at Porters. Newport on the other hand will be looking to improve positions on the ladder both in 1s and Club Championships. Im going to back Valley just based off the fact that they'll be looking on holding onto the mathematical chance of playing finals
HAC v Redfield- Wouldn't want to be Redfield this weekend. HAC would be disappointed after last weeks results and have allowed Redfield to creep within 2 points on the ladder. Redfield have been improving and will be much better than a few weeks before where they dropped 2 games in a row. Expect HAC to come out firing this weekend
Brothers v St Ives- Bludger of a game, expect Brothers to come out and belt St Ives. If its a wet old ground at Roseville Chase then it might be a little different but Brothers to win comfortably
BOBS v Iggies- Should be a good game this one,, but expecting BOBs to be way to strong for he inconsistent Iggies who risk falling dangerously close to falling outside the Top 4

Mac Uni saying their grounds closed today by the University, which sucks as tomorrow was their Old Boys day.

Don't know, doesn't say forfeit, maybe couldn't assign a ref.

Thing is, either of those clubs should be required to field one. Because Subbies require everyone to have at least ONE qualified ref and AR, right? :)

Only thing I can think is double forfeit i.e. both clubs have called it off. Dee Why forfeited last week to Burraneer.

Shammies!!!!

Look likely to be Minor Premiers. Not confident though. Have some key players missing.

How about Hunters Hill?!!! They've copped some floggings this year as you'd expect from a newly promoted side but they must be stoked about a big win today. Congrats!!

Crucial losses for UNSW and the Rams. A win to any of them would have seen them enter the four. A gripping 3 rounds to come for the 4th spot.

Any word from Iggies on the 90-12 thrashing from BOBs? Good result for them in colts though inflicting BOBs 1st loss.

Season cannot end quick enough for poor old Saints. Full credit to the 25 guys putting out 3sides each week

Another cracking round of Div 2 action. As Heavy D touched on Epping and UNSW both had golden opportunities to get the jump on Hills, but couldn't come out on top. There are a few blockbuster matches in the last 3 rounds, with St Pats v Blue Mountains in round 13 a likely play off for 2nd (or even first) and Epping v Hills in round 14 shaping up as a playoff fourth, depending on results.

This weekend Epping hosts its Ladies Day v St Pats in what will be match of the round in my opinion. Epping will be reeling after a tough Lindfield's Ladies Day and keen to bounce back hard. St Pats, now equal 1st in Barraclough, will be buoyed after a strong away performance v Forest and will be looking to keep that top 2 position and even challenge for the minor premiership. Can't wait to see what other twists and turns lie ahead. Well done to all clubs involved!

Divisions 2, 3, 5 & 6 have last round on 28th July
Finals Week 1 = 4th Aug
Finals Week 2 = 11th Aug
GF Day = 18th Aug

Division 1 has last round Aug 4 so you would expect
Finals Week 1 = 11th Aug
Finals Week 2 = 18th Aug
GF Day = 25th Aug

However, Division 4 also has last round August 4th so that'll be interesting.
