Trust me mate, we here in WA understand that completely.

That said, Subiaco Oval is well past its use by date and the new stadium needed to happen sooner or later. We have at least had new railways lines and extensions to existing ones put in as well.

Where are you in WA, mate?

Plenty of road and rail infrastructure going on the Sydney as well (although not to the long neglected northern beaches). We are getting a brand new hospital though.

And $10 million for Brookvale Oval apparently - at which is played 10 games of NRL per year and nothing else. Sea Eagles only train there for their captain's run before home games - so in a year it gets used 20 times, only 10 of which anyone goes to.

The Federal Government has blocked the sale of Ausgrid to a Chinese consortium so there might not be any new stadiums in Sydney now.
