The new Wallaby jersey

Firstly please discount any prejudice as I have none.
My argument is based upon the same reasoning Mandella's Springboks would not play the Maori All Blacks, division, isolation, and celebration of one race over another causes problems. The jersey should belong to all Australians.
To me it is a gesture of inclusiveness towards a group of peoples who this country treated very shabbily for a long time. If people see a gesture of inclusivity as divisive they might need to reassess their logic.

Indigenous jersey for every game. I'd suggest the shoulders stay as-is and the front become a single gold panel.

Anyone seen the back of the jersey? That's where I'd put the indigenous design - in order to help conceal the playing number ;)

Here's the back from the rugby shop website.

Being 22 myself, I wouldn't wear a fucking Waratahs jersey out for a night on the town if you paid me, especially not the game-day jerseys that they sell.

The fit is horrendous, the colour is horrendous, the entire style is horrendous.

For a game of footy? Great. For a night out? Terrible.

They should produce some long-sleeve, old school, vintage styles that younger people might like. A bit like

(Yes I am aware these are rugby league jerseys, but the style is so much better)

Who in their right fucking mind would wear this?

Some Waratahs bucket hats would't be bad either. Ain't nobody my age wearing a Waratahs cap.

I'd rather wear the Tahs hoodie than any of those league rags you suggested or any jersey with the v-neck

I don't think anyone was ignoring it previously. In my opinion the jersey is an Australian jersey. Owned by all people, if we celebrate the indigenous is not also far to say we should have an Immigrant jersey as well? Where does it end?

We could follow the AFL and have a jersey for whatever social cause takes our fancy

Only problem I have with this years jersey is the Aboriginal flag being overlayed on the pattern on the sleeve. I'd much rather the flag stand by itself than have 4 different colours which clash.

It reminds me of the St George logo that used to be on the white backing on a Reds jersey. It just took away from the design of the jersey.

The other sleeve has the Tiwi Islands flag on it.

In regards to the Jersey, what clan group is the art work from?

Got to remember as white fellas that Indigenous Australia consists of many different clan groups, all with their own identity.
