I agree with some of that, namely:
Get in behind the ball and protect your wicket like your life depends on it
Get tight and stop the petty ego driven infighting or leave
Get in the gym, sweat and get fit so you can perform against the Poms
Introduce a ban on tattoos
.
but not
Shut your gobs and your piss weak attempts at sledging and bullying, you have zero to back it up and you're embarrassing our country
I don't mind a bit of chat in the field, as long as they don't take it too far. I'd suggest that IS 'playing like Australians' and I think being aggressive can work well in the right context. And you yourself say later "Punch the bag or each other, I don't care but get some aggression into you", you can't turn around and criticise when they DO show some aggression on the field.
Ditch the shades or sunglasses as we common folk call them and show your eyes..it's courtesy and a show of a man
What, on the field? So they aren't allowed to shield their eyes from the sun? Agree it's a bad look in interviews, but beyond that I fail to see how it affects anything.
Close your Twitter accounts, piss off the earphones, ban texting...- try talking to each other, form relationships and build team spirit
This is a bit silly. Of course they are talking to each other, they are on tour for months every year, virtually in eachothers pocket. Banning outlets like music or communication with the public/relatives is a recipe for disaster.
FFS work out who's in charge and quickly..is it the captain or the chairman of selectors or high performance manager or coach or CEO?
I don't think the current issues are caused by no-one knowing who is in charge. The problems arise when the people in charge make poor decisions, and those not in charge don't adequately follow the instructions given by those who are.
Give us an inkling that you friggin care about how you are performing
Like what? Crying in the streets? Sure some of them batted as if they don't value their wicket, but they have made plenty of public statements that show they are fairly embarrassed. I'm not sure what more you want.
