More interesting question, who had his talent but didn't make it?

Nah he came through in League. I'm thinking teen sensations in rugby.

Reece Hewat. Aus Schools Captain and Aus under 20s Captain capped by reds as a 20 year old then punted. What a waste of talent

I don’t know? Jason Little I guess? He’s a different player to Herbert.

Can’t really think of an equivalent.

That's why it was a waste. That 20s team that he was captain for had the likes of HJH, Uelese Hockings, Blythe Wright, ASY ,Valentini, Swinton, Stewart who have gone on to make SR or higher careers. Last i heard of Reece he was playing second division in France. Side note that Izzy Perese was also in that team..

He’s playing div 2 in France, with Curtis Browning.

    Bloody hell..

Could have been a super hero. Still can but unfortunately not interested in changing. That kid spent a lot of time at my house before the social scene become a priority. Possibly JOC in the making.

Jason Little was in my year, I'm sure we've produced a teen sensation more recently than 1987! Besides, Tim Horan was also in that year and you'd have them both in the freakishly talented category.

If we're looking at players who hit the scene in the last 15 years, I'd say both Pocock and Hooper, assuming they don't have to be a back.

Its one of the best yarns ever.

Both from Toowoomba. In the same year at school.

    One at TGS.

    One at Downlands.

    Lifelong mates.

I remember Kimani Situati was absolutely raved about in his schoolboy years. Played premier rugby as a schoolboy I think? He was thought to be another 'next big thing'..

Follow the post I quoted backwards.
Intimated that someone was busted for cocaine use.
Just using Gary as the endpoint.
    Apologies if too obtuse.

Liking the look of some of the options at fullback. DHP and Banks have both been at the top of their games while Jock Campbell has started to look quite Ben Smith. Saddens me to say it as a Tahs supporter but Kurtley is looking a distant fourth at this point, not sure I’d even have him in the squad.

Yeah, Banks is looking scintillating! At this point, I feel like DHP and Hodge will probably be fighting for and over a wing/utility spot.
On the Rebels, I was more impressed with Deegan at flyhalf than Toomua has in recent time. I think they are probably a distant third & fourth at best though. O'Connor and Lolesio are looking the goods.
