So based on the week that just passed, now that we've all had time to review, the team would be
1. Robinson
2. Moore
3. Slipper
4. Pyle
5. Fardy
6. Quirk
7. Gill
8. Mowen
9. White/Phipps/Lucas (did any of them really perform that well?)
10. Cooper/To'omua
11. Ioane
12. Tapuai
13. Inman
14. Mitchell
15. Mogg

16. TPN
17. Tilse
18. Chapman
19. Pocock
20. Phipps/Lucas/White (as above?)
21. To'omua/Cooper
22. Lealiifano

I think White would get my vote over the other two.

The Force scrum didn't hold up overly well against the Kings scrum.
In the second half when longbottom and Lynn came on and their hooker was replaced it went down hill fast. Before that the scrum was fine. But as with everything in the second half the scrum too went to shit.

Tilse over Alexander? Can't see that.

White definitely over the others - he went quite well.

Given that both Phipps and Lucas were both replaced during the game by their respective coaches and White played the full 80 mins at least Jake White thinks his half was performing well and IMO NIc Whites second half was quiet impressive

White definitely over the others - he went quite well.

Maybe I'm too used to his delivery being quicker, or something, but he just looked below par to me.

I thought about Alexander and Cowan, but I thought Tilse brought more to the game.

Tilse is rubbish
Constructive.

Okay, I'll clarify - He held pretty well against Slipper, tackled reasonably well and was as good in support as the game plan allowed him to be. This all stems from what I expect from a loosehead.

What did Tilse do to make you think he was rubbish? Was it because he was just a poor player or does it stem from what you expect from the loosehead?

Sorry only a quick fly by and couldn't help myself. Thought as mentioned here that tahs were remarkably better with Fat Cat on the field. If Im not mistaken the only open field play I saw him feature in he dropped the pill. He is not highly rated by oppossing props at SS level let alone Super Rugby as a scrummager.

You have a lot of man love for Inman qwerty51 and I just dont see it.
In my view he's got less prospect of passing the ball than AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). I find him totally unconvincing.
Surely Tapuai or the other Red centre played well enough, even if AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) didnt (I would pick him ahead of Inman even based on Friday night)?
Anyway #13 is the only place we differ.

Fainga'a was very good so at the least he could have been included. Qwerty51's team of the week minus players he doesn't like?

Team of the week is probably
1. Benn Robinson
2. Saia Fainga'a (Lifting his game)
3. Paddy Ryan
4. Mitchell Chapman
5. Hugh Pyle
6. Ed Quirk
7. Liam Gill
8. Richard Brown
9. Alby Mathewson
10. Bernard Foley (poor week for all 10s)
11. Digby Ioane
12. Kyle Godwin (This guy has as good as locked in his jersey)
13. Mitch Inman (Can't really be anyone else, sadly)
14. Who the hell knows? Nobody deserves this.
15. Israel Folau (A really un-selfish player, defended well and helped set up a try)

In the first post, qwerty51 stated it is not a week by week team, but an evolving "form" team. At least that's how I read it.
No4918 - it is not just the OP that has doubts about Fainga'a at 2, despite his standing up north. I reckon many would think Moore the better hooker so far this season in the Oz conference.
That team looks pretty on the money - there will be debates about locks, and that's good as a few have played pretty well, and 3 is pretty open. Paddy Ryan has benefited from coming on as a reserve and having big impact, so is more visible. Palmer has a good claim too. It's good we can debate about a few THPs, rather than scratching heads to see if one is any good.

Apologies then Qwerty, looked like most people were going with a team of the week. That also explains the selection of Tapuai.

I would not take Fainga'a as first choice hooker either, he was very good on the weekend and TPN has not shone so far. He would be my 2nd picked and the Reds scrum seems a lot better which was a big criticism. Andrew Smith has looked a lot better at 13 and was the better of the 2 when they faced each other.
