There is also huge insecurity in their articles---

No wonder they feel insecure and feel the need to continue write up "their game" like it was a mutual admiration society newsletter.

RL journalism is dominated by the Daily Telegraph in Sydney, and there's a massive insecurity in most of the paper, not just the NRL pages. But you gotta admire their ability to create scandal, stories, hype, rivalries, stories of banishment and redemption that fill 4-6 NRL pages every single bloody day.

What does Lachie Turners latest injury mean for his contract situation? With Mitchell leaving and questions over Folau's future should we keep him on a significantly reduced contract as back 3 cover? I'd think at this stage it would be worth keeping him involved for one more season providing he is willing to accept a pay cut.

it would be a pretty significaant pay cut id say- he couldnt command more than betham, crawford or kingston now and hasnt deserved to for a while>
force will take him, and they'll pay good money for him too

They also get two year salary tax free if they retire due to injury, there was an article in the UK papers on it recently. The French labour laws are good for something!

Good news for Drew. Play two years, his ankle gives way again and its back to Australia with the tax free loot.
