A bit frustrated because the TAS rugby App is not being updated. In the thirds, kinross won 29-10. In the seconds it was Kinross 34-0 at half time with Kinross scoring quickly after the break. No final score. in the firsts, the score at 3.15 was knross 25-TAS 5

Awesome score line Jim. Do Kinross play any GPS schools this term? Would be interesting to know. That where the real competition is.

I understand Kings 1 beat Kinross 55-12, Kings 2 beat Kinross 59-5. TAS and Kinross play each year. In the last few years, Kinross has won comfortably. While TAS is a very strong Rugby school, it just has fewer boys.

TAS along with High and Grammar plays in the GPS thirds comp. TAS has been highly competitive in the thirds. For location reasons, TAS seems to play a fewer preseasons, starts more slowly and then accelerates. The Kinross match is generally the first and therefore provides an initial guide to possible TAS form.

Last year and this, the broader preseason across ISA, CAS and GPS with schools playing at different levels allows a degree of triangulation, So Kinross was weak against Kings but strong against TAS. Without having done any maths, Kinross may be more competitive this year in ISA (Kinross also improves as the comp goes on), while TAS will again be competive in the thirds.

I don't know the Kinross schedule, but TAS's remaining preseasons are against Grammar, Cranbrook and St Greg's.

Gregs would be quite strong this year. I'm assuming that will be their first ISA fixture. Looking forward to it. If Donny Freeman stays fit they will be a force to be reckoned with.

Auggies finished 3rd at SANIX.
They were beaten in semi by 3 points by eventual winners Fiji. They defeated Hastings College NZ 35 to 5 in the GF. All games are on UTube and where streamed live.

Any news on the St pats vs trinity game?

Trinity got up in the 1s 24-0
SPC won the 2s 20-14

While I'm sure the boys in black would be disappointed with that performance, there were a lot of positives to take from the game, such as the team's ability to consistently hold Trinity back through continuous raids in Pats' 22 while at times only having 13 men is a good sign of how the team shapes up defensively. However, there are some issues that need to be worked out, especially at scrum time.

It will be interesting to see how Stannies get on against Scots in Sydney this weekend. No doubt a huge test for the country lads.

does anyone have any form on Scots 15's age group?

I was there. Was such a great game of rugby to watch. Stannies going in as obvious underdogs came out barking! Half time saw the match at 10-7 to Scots after a missed penalty kick from stannies. A try to Scots in the second half took the game to 15-7 where Stannies then missed another penalty kick (from around the 40 again from what I remember). The Scots defence was very impressive. stannies dominated ball possession and line outs. Not much size in the front row but managed to match the scrums with Scots. Intercept try on 80 minutes for a final score of 20-7. Not very reflective on how close these country boys came to causing an upset.
Was very impressed with how stannies took it to the Scots boys. Must commend Scots however, a class outfit looking to take another title in GPS. Great day of rugby.

St Pats v Trinity
- Pats extremely lucky that trinities 12 (who was by far the most dominant from what i saw) went down in the first 5 mins
- Pats missing devine, wiseman (two biggest blokes) and incumbent 10
- Pats d was strong but was weak outwide
- scrum will need work
-Oldboys in the corner had great banter and created an atmosphere which made the footy more enjoyable to watch
- as always have potential but depth will hurt them if any injuries occur however i wouldn't put it past them for an upset or 2 and could see them finishing as well as 2 if they string together a good season and get some luck

I think St Pats are playing Barker if not this weekend then soon. If St Pats were full strength, any thoughts on how you think they may fare? (I am a barker supporter)

My take on the Pats v Trinity game seems to be quite different to many here. Pats were dominated at the set piece (especially at scrum time). Trinity seemed to be just too big, strong and fast across the park for Pats. One stand out was the captain for Pats (Harrison Armour) - only player to continually breach the A line (rep honours for this young man if injury free)

Trinity could have put 40+ on Pats if not for some white line fever from the boys in green - many 2-on-1 and 3-on-1 situations not converted. Trinity do look like a strong outfit this season, do see them as giving the CAS a good crack. Illias (13) and number 3 (unsure of young mans name) were particularly effective. A few loose salads flopping around though for the boys in green - great to see the Trinity hair policy (if it even exists) in full flight. Boys must've been off to Ivy after the game for a few shenanigans (good to see they stayed out of the headlines - unlike our friend from Townsville).

My sights are firmly set on Barker however - they are without a doubt my dark horse for the CAS this season and in saying that (from what I saw from Pats on the weekend and what I have seen of Barker thus far) Barker will polish off Pats very easily. Can see them easily brushing past Pats at the set piece and will be way too clinical in all facets of the game. I just can't see how Pats are going to get over the advantage line and try line from what I saw on Saturday.

Predicition: Barker 30+

* There's a good cafe around the corner from Barker - 100m beyond the school on the highway, take 2 left turns

Young ISA IIs incumbent spotted in popular night life area Saturday night causing a bit of grief for passers-by. Reportedly highly intoxicated. Possible breach of scholarship for bringing the game into disrepute and shining a poor light upon the ISA brand image.

Expected fine and possible sanctions pending internal investigation.
