NSW AAGPS 2021

Ace Ventura

Ted Fahey (11)
I like Granger at 15 and it would be seriously hard to pass up on Bowen and O’Donnell. Not sure about the rest though, I haven’t seen much from the other sides but have certainly heard good things about the Jorgensens from Joeys.

Joeys left winger is now listed by his preferred first name of Bryan Jorgensen. Oscar is his second name. He's one of the biggest players in the (admittedly small) Joeys lineup and is only in Year 10.

nelson at 9. He's been tearing up the comp (compared rest of GPS). Also the Chemistry of the 9,10,12 is insanely hard to pass up on.

AAGPS Rep side Prediction (Forwards):

1. ???
2. ???
3. ???
4. Ben Morton (View)
5. ???
6. John McCaffery (View)
7. ???
8. Sam Allsopp (View)

I think Sam Allsopp should be locked in. His size (may not be bigger than some of the CAS coutnerparts) but his ball skills are sensational for a number 8. Very good at offloading i do add running around with the ball in one hand like a flying fijian.

Sam Allsopp is one of the best loose forwards i’ve seen in years. his ability on the ball is outstanding and his offload game is unlike anyone in the GPS. my pick for #8 in the GPS side. very versatile as well having experience in the front row

Aus Schoolboys selectors better have their eye on him. Bit lazy at times. Great a leading the forwards around the park.

How tall is he? Front row to 8 is an interesting contrast. You more regularly see shorter back rowers move to the front.

How are Kings looking this year? I’ve heard they have a young squad which may not bode well for this season but could certainly cement them as heavyweights in the coming years.

I doubt they can beat Joeys or View. Perhaps Scots, New and Shore though.

Very underrated side IMO. Hemsworth, Arnott, Farrington (pending fitness) make up some of the names in the backline, as well as some solid blokes in the foward pack in stanford and johnson. They're flying under the radar but it wouldnt surprise me if they cause a few upsets this season.

Don't count Scots out my friend. Still a very strong side who I believe are more of a chance of winning the thing than that of the joeys side. Yes, Joeys did have the upper hand on the weekend without their superstar, however, when Scots get on a roll they will be next to unstoppable. The backline simply has too much fire power to neglect, and the size in the forward pack is enviable. I still believe view are the pick of the lot at this point, with my 2nd cousin whos in the 13Es giving me the reassurance.

Happy Footy Everyone! MH100

Watched some scots games they are quite unorganised and do very minimal damage with the "big guns" that the college has acquired.

I doubt they will have many GPS selections this year.

Interesting, is Charlie injured?

Hey MHOG100 interesting take you have on this bloke, what position does he play. My nephew playing scots 14a's in a couple weeks interesting to see how he pairs up
Valid point. I believe they have a bloke in the U14s called Charley Cassim. Apparently according my sources he’s a fearless ball runner with the heart of a lion (no pun intended). interesting to see him climb the ranks and help scots in the future

On a lighter note, does anyone have any intel on the Joeys 15A’s? My nephew is playing fly half for Riverview in what I hope will be a cracker of a match. Also, are any forum-goers planning on going to the big dance (Riverview vs joeys) this weekend. Wouldn’t mind a catch up on the hill over a sausage sandwich with onion and bbq sauce. Obviously you don’t have to order this exactly, just my preference :)

Joeys 15a’s are much improved. The team has shown a lot of character as they have grown over the past few years. As 13a’s a few years ago they were thumped by Oakhill. They have played them twice this year for a narrow loss and a narrow win. The boys should be individually and collectively proud of themselves.
