It's just occurred to me that Cantabs gave Brett Cameron the flick & replaced him with a guy who is surely the living definition of the term "journeyman".......

Kendra Cocksedge today became the first NZ woman to score 1,000 career points in First Class rugby:

Bet she's glad she didn't retire at the end of 2019 as she was planning to........

WOB, do you have a link to site with the NPC squads. Can’t see them on the Bunnings site. Thanks

^ you may need to keep an eye out for the stuff.co.nz & nzherald.co.nz Premiership & Championship previews in the week or so prior to the comp starting.

If Bledisloe 2 gets brought forward to 14/08 they'll need to reschedule Cantabs v Manawatu which is set down for 19:05 at NLP.

^ if the Wawas have learnt anything in their 25-odd years of existence it's surely that there's no point having someone on the roster who'd rather be somewhere else.

Agreed, would love to see a bunch of young Aussie guys given this chance - both from a developmental standpoint, but also in terms of boosting earning capacity and therefore providing a more compelling argument to keep them here as opposed to Japan, Europe etc.

Though I'm not sure if his QLD salary goes on hold while he's gone?

Wouldn't think so, as his Qld duties would be done I think. I just see so many upsides in it myself, a bit extra money, and more important a good bit of experience I think.

Just returned from watching Whanganui/Taranaki development team, I know it full Whanganui team, but they wer pretty good and suspect they may do alright in the Heartland comp.
Got me salivating for Bunnings cup matches, was good, Taranaki and Whanganui maori teams were playing on next field too, and I think Island teams it was on another field.

Just to add WOB, Whanganui had a couple of players I can see 1st division teams getting keen on, liked the look of their 9 (lovely pass going both ways) and a likely looking 13.
