The backrow skillset transplanted into a winger is exactly what's needed with the Tahs IMO. Loads of turnover/penalty opportunities, dominant in contact, love the defensive side of the game.... We see it with a lot of NZ/PI wingers that are hard on the ball in the tackle area... The guys we currently have are fast and skilful, but actively avoid the collisions and have no interest in the tackle contest with so many missed opportunities.
Tahs backline may end up looking something like this.

I'd just prefer a high quality outside back rather than a hard-running winger who's not going to be fast or evasiveness enough to threaten - but appreciate the positive narrative of a backrow/ wing hybrid.

From what I'm reading he's being pitched as both hard running and very fast..... We'll find out soon enough through.

Tahs clearly on the hunt for another good back. Seems they missed on on the fiji 7s 'tank' who turned down Drua and Tahs went to Zebre instead.

When living in the UK I had a mate from one of the colonial African countries at about 30yo. He was running 10.36 and qualified for the Commonwealth games (100m sprint). OK 20 years ago but still, mid 10s is fast, and most guys doing it will have eyes on something other than rugby.
If real, wow.
