Are there still ongoing vaccination issues for several NZ Super Rugby teams, which would essentially stop a large number of their players from playing in QLD, WA and VIC.

If that's all confirmed over the coming weeks, I reckon you'll see the price for the Reds at least shorten up, as they'll be playing weaker travelling sides.

That looks very Kiwi fan centred. MP (Moana Pasifika) in the top 8 is a huge call, but even moreso with all 5 Kiwi conference teams in the top 8.
Aren't odds determined by where the money is going?

I'd wager more Kiwis are having a punt than Aussies

The major Aussie book makers don’t even have a market for Super Rugby yet, so yes these odds have definitely come from the NZ TAB entity.

You can bet on who will win the RWC in 2023, but nothing for the competition which starts in 4 weeks.

I agree dru, that maybe looked at with kiwi shaped glasses.

Jacinda has announced that once Omicron gets into the community there'll be tighter restrictions on all manner of things but no widespread lockdowns.

So on that basis Super Rugby can go ahead but in empty stadia. They'll push back fully re-opening the border, of course, but I doubt they'll be able to push it back far enough for it to be an issue by the time the TT part of the comp starts - incoming Aus teams may have to base themselves in a suitable location & FIFO on their match days but no isolation-on-arrival.

Unfortunately Mark-Il-Jong has decided to separate WA from the rest of the country for even longer. No opening date offered

Nah it won’t be, I’ve found it a bIt surprising they didn’t just select a single stadium to base themselves at. Maybe availability issues

Floating around in the deathstar doesn't count as 'on the road'
Third season of Bkackadder's spectacularly unsuccessful tenure (thought I'd get that in before Dismal, zer0 or KiwiM :)).

Edit: also made the 2014 GF under Blackadder & damn near won it except for a last-second penalty the ref has since admitted he got wrong. So perhaps not as spectacularly unsuccessful a tenure as at first glance...

Even without the unnecessary diversion to UK for a match, they still racked up a shit-tonne more air miles & hotel nights than any Super Rugby team before or since.

It somehow improves the joyful memory of that game, to know that Kiwis are still pissed off about it.
