Waratahs 2022

Cridge has been good and seems like an excellent recruit.

While it will be frustrating if he's out, Williams and Douglas did really well last season as rookies so I feel like we're reasonably well served there for the time being.

It would be good to get Swinton back though.
Williams and Douglas though performed poorly when they went to lock late in the game (Williams switched there from 6 and Douglas off the bench)

Does anyone know how long the deal with ISC is?
I miss Canterbury, TBH
The merch is average from ISC; in fact, I think most teams miss the mark.

The Rebels have good merch this year. Their f45 training gear is excellent!

We could learn a thing or 2 from US teams, the merch rocks!

My Wallabies New Era cap is the best thing ever, a pity they don't make them anymore. I always get asked where I got it from.

I'm fine if they offer these, but I can't stand them. The worst era for merch was the brief period when teams stopped offering traditional ball cap style caps and only offered snap backs.

Yep, but the thing is they need to target everyone and not just one sector, which is what it feels like at the moment. My nephew loves New era caps for example but will not touch what's currently on offer by the Tahs.

I think the Tahs should try and sign with a Adidas or similar

This is the problem when you don't sell a lot of it in total. It's hard to add more options.
Yep got a cheap waratahs hoodie and rain jacket last year heavily discounted online sale. Reflecting where waratahs at no doubt and lack of merchandise sales, they also threw in free tahs scarf with every purchase on top of the heavily discounted stock.

Was this primarily because they'd had a change in kit provider?

That's always the best time to buy merchandise because they effectively have a fire sale on the old gear.

I'd guess you wouldn't have had those same sales during this offseason because the provider hasn't changed.

Might well be the case…I also don’t want to sound too pessimistic at this point as tahs winking again and having a coach who seems to be making an impact, better defence gives me hope good times ahead for tahs. Especially as for pretty crappy weather at Leichhardt for reds game not a bad crowd and might have even packed out leichardt if was good weather given what I saw.

Hoping for a good game vs Brumbies and the sun to come out if the next few weeks, those coming games at Leichhardt could be packed

Would love to see it..as I also think if people not been to leichardt oval they are missing a treat as so close to the action and got a pretty nice vibe in terms of how set up with hill, general set up etc.

Ps hence when Covid hit and rebels etc played
Out of leichardt went to lot of games and indeed always gone to just about any rugby game at leichardt if around / available. I would not mind if they made it their home ground lol but yes sfs back up next year.

I think ISC is a middle level sport brand, it could be worst. Canterbury/BLK are my favorites in Oceania's Sport market then you have ISC. I think X Blades was the worst. Uggly jersey, probably the ugliest I can remember. Thanks god it was only a year.

I have ISC last season's polo shirt and I like it, pretty much:

I think the heritage ISC jerseys are good (the current and the last season) and should be the home jersey IMHO. What I hate from the current jerseys are the yellow square on the shoulders, the UNSW logo. It's money so you can't remove it but at least change the colour to make it more suitable with the jersey's design.

I think with ISC, Tahs looks like an NRL team and that's not necessarily a bad thing, it could be worst. With ISC you have visibility in all sports stores around the country

Nobody who is old than 20 likes the snap backs, otherwise you hear hip hop and Snoop Dogg is your hero lol

Adidas is impossible for Tahs or any Aussie Super Rugby team. The only brand in Rugby Union that could get a deal from Adidas are the Wallabies and the deal won't be near of the numbers of NZRU's deal with them.

Even for Wallabies it would be difficult. Adidas is not investing in Aussie market at the moment. They only supply one AFL team ATM, no NRL team is suppling by Adidas. They have been investing a lot of money in NZ rugby and aren't interested in OZ.

A new player is investing in Aussie market, Puma. They already took NSW Blues and QLD Maroons, some AFL teams and I heard that they are interested in Kangaroos but they are commited to Canterbury until the end of the year

How much is cheap for u? I'm from Latin America, so I don't earn in Aussie dollars lol. For example, for me the NRL subscription for overseas people (Watch NRL) is expensive, AUD $40 per month.

I pay AUD $15 monthly for Super Rugby subcription here. It's from ESPN South America and it's pretty similar than Stan Sport, I think that they are partners. I get all the Super Rugby games, Rugby Championship, Six Nations, United Rugby Championship, Japanese League, European Cup and Argentine Rugby local games.

Stan Sport is not available here. I think that you pay something similar in OZ to watch Stan Sport, isn't it?
