I feel like that's the correct order of support.

1. Your team,
2. Whichever Aussie team is in the match,
3. If two Aussie teams whichever one isn't the Brumbies,
4. MP (Moana Pasifika) (Moana Pasifika) or Fiji,
5. If both MP (Moana Pasifika) (Moana Pasifika) and Fiji flip a coin,
6. If two Kiwi teams, whichever team isn't the Crusaders
I refuse to recognise the validity of September Champs, before a February kick off :)

Having said that, Wikipedia could be totally like Nostradamus and the top and bottom places could be correct at the end of the day............ (jokes - I think the Tahs will be a little higher up, and hope they'll be in the top 8)
Yay prediction fulfilled

Well that ends another tediously predictable edition of Super Rugby. For all the changes from 12 to 14 to conferences to Pacific we’ve always been able to rely on the season ending in a whimper in Oz - bar a few aberrations.

ever been invited to a Super Rugby GF BBQ?? Nah me neither. Get invites every year to AFL and NRL ones… regardless of the teams.

We gave up a packed suncorp or Leichhardt or Bruce for this greatest of anti- climaxes (and this isn’t a go at the brumbies!)

we gave away an annual celebration of Australian rugby for this limp serving…

last years final has only highlighted how bad a fit SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) is for Oz rugby. This comp will never bring us growth or capture new fans.

instead of marching into an England series buoyed by a final featuring Australia’s best, we limp toward it deflated

and please, keep your ‘win more’ strategies and ‘play the best to be the best’ fantasies to yourself - 25 years of this structure has proven both those beliefs as false.

If the Aussie sides continue to improve it might get to a point where it's sustainable.

This year was better but I still don't think one away semi-final appearance is gunna bring back the fans.

Problem is each team is once again set to lose a bunch of key players.

Kiwis don’t really want an international provincial comp

Super Rugby needs Auckland, Brisbane and Sydney winning a large portion of titles. Get some real markets involved instead of some regional cities winning on a consistent basis.

LOL.

Tribe win & next day those guys are writing about the comp getting a refresh after a half-decade of CruSadist dominance; Brums win & today's stories are about how Australian Rugby Is Back, Baby & how wonderful that is.

They're journos required to write "x" words that someone can hang a click-bait headline on that will ideally get some readers to buy a $99 one-year subscription.

That's a stretch. Blues and Crusaders finished 1st and 2nd on the log and both play an attractive ball in hand style when conditions suit.

If Reds and Crusaders had met in last year's Trans Tasman final I imagine that would have been billed as a 'dream final' as each side had won their domestic comp.

As impressive and effective as the Brumbies are - they don't exactly play the most attractive style of footy that would scream 'dream final'.

There's a GPaul piece on the hurld website saying SANZAAR are about to be replaced as the governing body for Super Rugby by "an independent transtasman governance group..." rest is paywalled.

Any similar chat over Straya ways?

Why would the unions give up control of a comp they fund?

Independent oversight and a comp run as an end in itself would be welcome though.

yep for sure. It's happening. States are sick of it being a lessor focus (behind tests). They want dedicated focus on competition scheduling, marketing, judiciary etc. It'll basically be like the AFL Commission.
